There are a lot of people screaming and fanboying about their favorite characters (I do at times. We all have.) However, there are some characters that either fly under the radar or they have too many fanboy(girl) soldiers in their army. So, this is a thread to talk about the Underrated and Overrated. Who do you think is Underrated and who do you think is Overrated? Ask me, cuz I have to go to bed. o.o I won't be able to name all of my list. Manga and Anime. Doesn't matter who and where.

At times it seems that Naruto is stupidly overrated. I know he's the 'star' yadayada but his "saving the day" with a retarded rasengan pissed me off to no end. Don't get me wrong, I like him but at times it's just too much. Another character who, IMO, is overrated is Shikamaru. I really liked him in part 1 but in part 2 his genius seems to make people think he can solo anyone. Yes, he's a strategic master,no he doesn't have the best taijutsu, ninjutsu etc. To me he's just an average skilled shinobi with incredible analytical ability, nothing more nothing less.
Honorable mentioned: Sasuke, Hinata(weird, I know)
In terms of underrated I have to say Tsunade and believe it or not Orochimaru. Both are sannin but are overshadowed by Jiraiya's legacy. Though she's a master healer and has super strength, we've never seen Tsunade win a fight...ever. All of her amazing abilities seems pointless since kishi doesn't do much with them. Hopefully she doesn't die this arc and comes back with a kickass jutsu to save not only the other Kages but herself. Orochimaru is a different story. To me he's the best villain of the series but people only think of him as being owned by Itachi and Sasuke. I think at the end of the day, Orochimaru has a lot of shit up his sleeves and just needs some more time to be fully developed.

Indeed if he has your blood he can finish it pretty fast (if he has time to make his circle)
But the fact remains he is the turtle of Akatsuki. U just CANT deny that fact..
Shikamaru could keep up with him.

Obito is underated, just because kakshi happens to be the only counter to him, and he was one of the first he fought, And because madara showed up. I'd like to see madara take on six tailed beasts.

Oh man, I personally think Hashirama and Hiruzen have been hyped up a lot by fans recently to just crazy insane levels. Not gonna say they're not strong, because they are but not to the level that the fans say. I guess saying Hashi is overrated makes Madara (in his normal form, not edo) is also overrated.

underrated kakashi (he has strongest attack (kamui) which no one can counter it even riningan and he can counter any jutsu even gaint biju doma ,the dust,the meteor , as he can go to other dimension he can counter amatrasu as he can absorb it although all of that many put him in 20# as strong as gai although he must be in top 5 after obito
overrated kabuto,minato,itachi
kabuto can't counter kamui,giant biju doma, the dust ,the meateor
minato hasn't a strong attack he can't affect kakazu(iron skin)tusonade,hashi(healing)kimimaro(bone defense)A,third raikage(light armor) he can't reach who inside susano as itachi ,sasuke,madara ,he can't reach who fly as unki ,mu,didra,sai ,he can't reach gara , third kazagae and gara's father when some one can't beat all of these he must have weak attack

Over rated - Madara just coz he can do what hes doing in Edo doesnt mean he could before but dont get me wrong he is powerful im not saying he is weak.

Nagato - people actually think he could beat Madara or itachi, wich is bullshit.
Naruto - people think he's able to defeat Madara
Sasuke - Seriously, he only wins because his team mates keep healing and protecting him.
Orochimaru - People think he actually poses a threat, with the current ninja, he's far out of his league.
Jiraiya - People think he could defeat Itachi, wich is also bullshit.
Minato - He's strong, I admit that, but no, he's not as unbeatable as fans make him out to be.
Kabuto - Because he summoned Madara.
Tsunade - lately I've seen people saying she's not completely worthless.
Underrated
Kakashi - Since he got skilled with his MS he can basically one shot anything.
Kisame - all he had was a bad matchup, and he even survived the afternoon tiger.
Itachi - he's more underrated than overrated, he can't defeat someone like Madara, but he IS better than Jiraiya or Nagato, period.
Neji - he's the best byakugan user out there, and the only jonin in the k11, yet people think others from the k11 could beat him.
Tobi - he was hyped up to be a weaker than expected, but on the other hand, without kakashi he's close to invincible.
Konan - she did more damage to Tobi than anyone has done so far, that move would've killed even Pain.
Tenten - I actually think she has more use than lets say...Sakura or Hinata.
Danzou - He would probably have killed Sasuke if it was'nt for Karins help and Danzou having to pay attention to Tobi not interfering all the time.
