I agree that our healthcare is much more efficient than Canada's, however having a system in place with the potential to put people in poverty and break families is simply abhorrent. And I'm saying that as someone who leans more to the right. Not to mention that there's still private clinics in Canada that one can pay for, for a more timely diagnosis on such things. So if you have a problem with the wait, you can go for a more costly but efficient alternative. Otherwise, quit complaining.

Fair point, though simply being in poverty does not necessarily qualify you for Medicaid, and I should add that Obama's ACA has helped to expand and improve upon Medicaid and Medicare significantly, so even though you're making a right-wing argument, many people who are benefitting from Medicaid are doing so because of the left. Besides, most of Americans and Canadians aren't in poverty, the majority of us are in the middle class, and it's the middle class who are ****ed over the most due to our healthcare system. Having the option to choose between free public healthcare and private clinics is something that should be offered in any first world country.

I'm going to disagree with you on this notion simply on the basis that knowing whether or not you have AIDS or HIV is probably the most crucial part of preventing the spread of this terrible disease. Ignorance is bliss sometimes, yes, but not when it makes others lives hell.
