These are just a few features I though would be cool in NUNS3 or any upcoming naruto games.

1. Game to Manga realism
I thought it would be better if characters who can control their transformations/power ups always get a flick awakening (some would have a cool down, some would be one time use and some would shorten the chakra bar. I was a little disappointed when they didnt do this for Kirin sasuke and kimmimaru.

2. Rage Awakenings
Some characters would automatically go into awakenings. For example, jugo would become awakened after X damage is inflicted on an opponent or X damage is received. Or sage mode naruto would be an instant awakening right before the player dies w/ its own life gauge (I know its OP but still...)

3. Visual Deterioration
Characters go from fresh to slightly battered to injured to wounded states according to their health.

4. Equipable Jutsus
Player would be able to equip character specific jutsus in item slots. They would be less powerful jutsus previously shown by the characters or new variations of their moves. This would make characters more versatile and would allow players to make a character their own.

5.Battlefield Destruction
Jutsus would be able to destroy things in the background scenery and finishers would be able to destroy/alter things in the foreground.

I know we probably will never get anything close to this any time soon (or at all) but wishful thinking never hurt!


Please share any other ideas for game improvement you might have!

Good ideas. I agree. I'm surprised that they never gave back interchangeable jutsu. In the first UNS if you were playing as Kakashi you could swap between hounds, fire ball, and water dragon if I'm not mistaken and then Sasuke had the choice of Phoneix Flower and regular Fire Ball. It would definitely give players more options. I also like your idea for battle damage. That would be awesome if it were as a result of battle or even it were just an alternate skin. In some instances it would also be nice to have mashing and commanding back(outside of boss battles) as well since that was the original "Ultimate Ninja" mo all those years. Lastly, I think ultimate ninja has been at it long enough that we deserve the Budokai 3 equivalent for UNS. The super game with every character.

Destructible Environment

On the battlefield thing, were you to run into a destroyed part of the ground (Say Naruto uses a rasengan on the ground causing a circular ground of destruction), a chance that you trip, stumble, or slow down!

Match Introductions and Victories

Character intros....instead of the random countdown characters have a list of intro line similar to their outro lines....as in several Naruto battles the characters have a slight conversation before they enter a fight.

On that note have special intros and outros based on certain enemies. For example, Say you have Hinata vs Naruto...Naruto says something like, "Alright Hinata give it your best shot!". Hinata kinda nervously replies, "Ok...I'll do my best". Say Hinata wins, she says, "Wow...I...I really did it" Or simply freaks out that she beat him up. Naruto says something like, "Hehe (that special laugh of his not the girly one) you really did your best Hinata!"

Or say you have EMS Sasuke vs Naruto. Sasuke says, "Like I said, You'll be the first I kill." and Naruto replies, "I'll bear all that Hatred you hold". When Sasuke wins he'd say, "I've fulfilled my oath, now on to the rest of them." Naruto says, "You don't have to bear this pain alone Sasuke..."

Sticking to the Story

A little less gameplay oriented, but sticking to the story....it just irked me that several scenes were entirely changed...I'd have taken a cliffhanger of the alliance in front of the Juubi, or just after Hinata cheers him up over the alternate end. That way we could have also ended it with Sasuke also going to Konoha, and awakening the Kage!

Honestly, I'd like to see a deeper pool of jutsu accessible in single player matches, almost to take the place of the support. Think of Dragon Age, in so far as the support button would bring up a second set of attacks.
