Minato has the ultimate defense: he can teleport to any location that he has placed a seal. All he has to do is some prep. Set up a few seals in various locations around the world. Now, whenever he enters battle, he can just teleport away at any moment he is in danger.

Oh, I forgot to mention, it seems that he can use the flying thunder god technique to dodge any attack; he dodged an attack coming from a man faster than amateratsu for crying out loud.

Sure his offense isn't the best, but so far, it seems there isn't a way to actually beat him. Madara's perfect susanoo swings his sword? Teleport. Nagato uses chibaku tensei? Teleport. Bijuu bomb? Teleport. You get the point. Obito might be the only exception.

Minato's defense(not an actual defense but more like dodging) is actually the element of surprise and the unpredictability of FTG.Almost all the shinobi of his time knew about his kunai and teleporation but they could NEVER beat him.If only he had a more powerful offensive

Even perfect susanoo can be broken. However, no attack can land on someone that essentially moves at light speed.

Thanks for the welcome. True, that's why he died in the first place. But I'm just pointing out how powerful he is. Heck, he could even be a top assassin. Just have a entire network of spies carry hidden seals to locations near the target.

He could also have a special force that is designed to getting the kunai to their targets. For example, minato has to throw the kunai to get close to someone. He could have someone who can propel them faster using magnetism, explosions etc.

This jutsu is probably the most useful. He could have thousands of seals created for any use.

Naruto has the ultimate counter defense: he can "near FTG" to any location that minato has placed a seal. All he has to do is some clones. While minato sets up a few seals in various locations around the world, naruto spies and leaves a clone. Now, whenever they enter battle, minato can just teleport away at any moment he is in danger (at which point this happens). Actually, he just might potentially have an incredibly powerful offense. He just needs to remodify his kunai.

If he somehow designed his kunai to explode instantly(upon him teleporting next to it) in a way that doesn't harm him but merely propels him forward(kinda like a wind release), he can get to his enemy with extreme speed.

Say he throws a kunai at 200mph. He teleports to it. The kunai explodes propelling him forward at 100mph. Now, if he throws a kunai midair, the kunai is going to travel at 300mph! He can throw a kunai at 200mph but if he was moving at 100mph you simply add 100+200. Repeating the same process again, every sucessive kunai gets faster.

So if he started far away from his enemy, he could probably send the kunai flying to the enemy's skull at several times the speed of sound.
