Maybe this isn't obvious but I think that MADARA is going to use his trump card to help the Hokage's as he knew that if the 4-hokage's can't defeat the Jubito...He alone can never? and becoz :devil: HE :devil: wanted to become the jinchuriki of the ten tail.....

Yeah it totally inevitable though it might seem he is helping but in the end he is on his own plus current jubito knows no one to be on his side.
