The EU never ruled anyone. A little impartial research and you'd find that no legislature passed in the EU is forced on a member state, and that they are free to adopt it with personal alterations to suit said state's M.O and tastes. All officials are elected and it proposes, not imposes.

The idea that the EU is some kind of big bad wolf is nothing more than a uninformed myth. It's not as efficient as it could be, but it's in no way the Fourth Reich either.

I agree with this. Tbh, politicians didn't like it that they didn't get their way yet instead of being there for their country. Helping the country to get through this monumental shift they simply tell you all to f*k off and deal with it yourselves. XD
