I'm pretty sure anybody can pick their own papers w/o assistance :| I personally would rather do it by myself.
If I were to be the cause of the papers dropping, then surely i would help, regardeless of how the person looks like.

Would the person accept help or would pride shove it away? Like I said I would walk away and if I needed the help I would expect other people to fix their own problems and I would pick up whatever I dropped.

That's kind of sad, but I respect your choice since we can't all have the same view. I've honestly never met one person who didn't appreciate my kindness.

You're welcome, and I do see your point of view. I'm always afraid to offend but I take that chance. I've had some say it was fine when I went to help them, so I stood back and watched them pick up what they dropped. They would smile and thank me for the offered kindness and we'd part ways.
