Re: UEFA Euro 2012 Official Thread - Discussion, Analysis, Predictions & All News!
Shots (On target) France 19 (15) England 3 (1)
This is were it was bad for England. All tho they played well offensively and Rooney absence has had an impact they couldn't get many shots on France. Were as France had efficiency in their offence which is a good step, the only problem for them was getting it by Hart. England need Rooney back and the way their playing right now when Rooney leads offence they can get further than we imagine.
France offence is well so far, if they keep this up getting to the final, and/or winning it won't be a problem. As in this game the only problem will come down to getting it pass the GK as their shots are well on target.
This game in all was a little like Spain VS Italy, expect it was much harder to decide which side seemed the better in that game. In this France did seem the better side.
I expect a big response from Escorps regrading the rest
Sweden and Ukraine next lets see what Ibra can do.
I understood the need to keep a pitch in good conditions. It's obviously a key part in football. As Lillo said, important but not decisive.
Yet again, pitch factors, rainfall, snowfall, wind, fans revolt, hooligans, media, transport medium, sleeping time ect... are all factors that players must be ready to face on at any times. These are external factors where you must develop a correct attitude to combat it and be dignified regardless.
You can't control all the things in life but blaming your loss on external factors is low. I'd understand if it was something huge like referee mistakes or serious psychological problems but pitch factors is low. Even if it did affect their 'smooth' play (which I didn't notice to be perturbed), they should not whine about it afterwards. And definitely not blame their result on that.
These are petty factors that results in petty complains but complains that may ruin image of a squad big-time. Spain seemed tensed in this Euro. perhaps, too much expectations and pressure. But it's part of football and they must confront it positively and complaining towards media is negative reply to those expectations.
But in Spain/Barcelona case it's important nevertheless, as he also said they play it fast to find players in attack, so it is essential, which makes their statement valid for their case.
Sure, these things happen, but they also result in fines to certain country like fans revolt, hooligans, media, and etc. At times rainfall, snowfall, and wind do postpone games. Keeping a pitch clean? How hard is that? This arise question if the Poland/Ukraine workers are slacking after certain remarks. As I said before many people have said Poland/Ukraine don't deserve to hold the Euros and how shameful the people are there etc.
I'm surprised Inesita said this? I mean he's hardly in the news and keeps quiet a lot of the times even regrading Barca/Madrid. He even came out saying there is no problem between Barca/Madrid players. The fact he said it is possible effect their game, and to top it off 3 players said it, so really questionable.
As far as low goes, so SaF blaming QPR for quitting VS City? Despite QPR putting up a good fight, and City working hard for that win? Mou saying his Madrid side was exhausted, while he assume Barca, Bayern, and Chelsea are super humans and don't get tired? These aren't low? WC2010 Spain lost was getting blamed n Casillas GF, when Spain admitted they played sloppy.
The biggest nation, club, players/coach make up excuses as listed above, but it doesn't ruin their image still regraded as the best. As I said this guys article is anti-Barca, just cause three of today best midfielder and future legends complaint its a big deal and disgrace to them?
