Well, yes, it's that time of the year again...And who complains? After a previous campaign that ended with Bayern's completing a historical treble, the big-eared trophy is up for grabs. A previous campaigns that also featured some shocking and controversial matches, as usual - but it can also be remembered for how the 2 German teams admonished the 2 Spanish heavyweights in Semi-Final.
I'll be updating this post as the draw goes on. Keep refreshing to get live updates.
Meanwhile, you can leave out your thoughts on the draw and the Champions League in general. Fantasy predictions are allowed. And like always, I'm gonna leave my thoughts on the teams and the groups stage.

Escorp's personal thoughts:
- Pot 1: Well, not big surprises; though the continuous inclusion of Arsenal has started irritating recently. And the presence of the 2 Portuguese teams - Porto & Benfica - has started lead to debate. Personally, among one of the few UEFA decisions that I support, I do like the Coefficient System because it values experience and consistency.
- Pot 2: PSG has grown in experience after last year, and Juventus has taken a dip into CL culture yet again. And they are 2 heavyweights that most Top-tier clubs would like to evade. Athletico has grown into a serious European contender over the years, and Milan remains an old-dog; never to be underestimated. Marseille would be the kindest draw in the Pot 2, that a Pot 1 team would like to inherit imo.
- Pot 3: Good luck to whoever falls on Dortmund with their group. Once again, Klopp and his men, would probably be in another Group of Death and they might be deadly for many. City has been a disappointment in past 2 CLs - if Pellegrini manage to make them into a solid European performer, they'll be the second most-difficult draw.
- Pot 4: Napoli would the one that everyone would like to skip. Having Napoli along with a group that contain either City/Dortmund, would result into a serious deathly group. Sociedad & Austria Wien are debuting in the CL, so I'll wish them good luck. They may be tricky, who knows...
The biggest group of death possible will be a Bayern - PSG - Man.City - Napoli. Hehe, already sounds exciting...
And yeah, there's also the 2011/12 UEFA Best Player in Europe prize to be awarded. The Top 3

are Ribery, Messi and Ronaldo. You can check stats and achievements of these 3 in the link. To be noted that last year's winner of this Award - Iniesta - didn't even made it to the Top 3. CR7 & Messi have once again, made it due to their sensational goal stats - with CR7 in CL and Messi in domestic level mainly. Ribery has been one of the most stand-alone player in Bayern's historic run. Though, some of his teammates like Robben, Schweni, Muller, Lahm didn't make it; courtesy of Messi/CR7's otherwordly records. I'd hand the Award to Ribery but let's see what's will happen.Winner of the 2012/13 UEFA Best Player in Europe: Franck Ribery
Escorp's live notes:
- CR7 is absent today; so heavily doubt his win in the Best Player Award. Shame, we won't see Irina Shayk in her gala outfit today.
- Luis Figo is the ambassador for this year's final on the Road to Lisbon. Somehow, perhaps for Madrid's fans, they should stop having ex-Madrid players as Ambassadors. Perhaps that's the curse that Madrid never lift La Decima.
- Milan/Barca is so cliche xD. Juve/Madrid gonna be quite something.
- Well, so much arguing over Arsenal/Dortmund. Let's see how they clash, with Napoli such a thrilling addition thrown into the mix.
- Group B, Group D & Group H are gonna be tight too.
- PSG got the best draw imo. Followed by Chelsea. United has got a pretty decent draw; though 3 other teams that play offensive football, which might all be tricky.
