I wanted Bayern to win but fair play to Chelsea.
The beast Drogba showed his worth that header was just pure desctruction.
I couldn't stop laughing at the fact that the camera kept going to Schweinsteiger and Robben, f*cking hilarious.

Anyway not that this match was much important to me. I didn't care that much to be honest, but all in all Chelsea did a good game.

First off Grats to Chelsea. I rooted for Bayern, but as I said early and few weeks back also.

I've said it earlier Bayern had their chance, but they were very inconsistence and blew a lot of those chances. I was hoping for Gomez to have a great performance, but other than putting in the PK he didn't play well. Bayern had about 35+ shots and 8-10 being on target. Chelsea stuck to the same game play VS Barcelona the second Bayern crossed half way line strikers (Drogba, Mata and after Torres chasing them down, while Chelsea already had about 5-7 bodies in their PK area). I respect the strikers coming back for D, but the fact that before Bayern even got up there already they had the entire team in the box. Bayern had a few good counter attacks only to show their inconsistency.

I have no problem with defensive football, but that is some next level defense, even Madrid held there own VS Barcelona with that similar style. I don't really appreciate watching that makes the game boring 75-80% of that games entertainment literally came from Bayern.

Nevertheless Chelsea defense came up big a few times and Cech being key with some good saves (including Robben PK). Bayern also had good D, but blow it after taking Muller off (which I was cursing at Heynckes).

All in all Chelsea didn't have luck, but fate on their side as I said after Barcelona victory, CL victory was most likely inevitable, which proved to be true. I found it funny when they announced the ref and said that he reffed two of Bayern game in this stadium both of which they lost LMFAO. I kid you not I called a loss for them again even tho I rooted for them.

That's over and done with3-4 days from now we will see if Barca win Cop Del Rey and after that Euro time.

Well, it was a physically intense match. Chelsea defended with 9 men only (it's better than 10 against Barca lol) while Bayern did 60 minutes of brilliant rapid football. They had so many chances that I lost count but they were too inconsistent. Chelsea barely got chances but at every of their offenses, it seemed like one defensive mistake could cost Bayern; despite the huge fans behind them.

The intensity of Bayern midfielders dominated Chelsea's who didn't try to defend. Nonetheless, both Lampard and Mata did a brilliant match. Lampard was really clean too regulate the midfield while Mata linked well. The two wingers - Robben and Ribery were good. No surprises there but I still don't like them. One duel that got my attention was Ashley Cole and Lahm. It was passionate to see how both were perfect defensively. Barely any mistakes from both. Luiz and Cahill did better than expected after Ivanovic and Terry's absences. Muller missed many chances but did the best at the end. Torres did an energetic entry - better than his ghost appearances. Gomez was much invisible while Drogba's power proved better offensively.

Both goals came from headers which surprisingly were badly stopped by goalkeepers. In the extra-time, Chelsea was more dominant since they were better armed physically and were more endurance. The turning point came with the Extra-time penalty in my eyes. I felt that the penalty was pretty soft; though there was foul. In fact, Ribery already had cramps - so he felt even faster on slight contact. Robben's penalty was soft. The thing is that left-footed players shouldn't shoot on the right or shoot softly on penalties in my opinion. Left-footed players generally don't confuse goalkeepers.

In fact, not only Robben but even Olic was a left-footed and missed his. Analyzing deeper, the shots of Cole and Lahm were barely saved; all to say that you risk a lot in PKs with left-footed players. Both goalkeepers did a brilliant session but unfortunately, Schweinsteiger (Bless me if I spelled it correctly lol) was too stressed. He waited and waited to see if Cech gave any indication but when he didn't saw any, he tried to put it as near the post as he could. He lacked power and in fact, touched the post. Drogba, on the other had, well, couldn't miss it.

He's the Man of the Match for a reason. Hell, he's Chelsea's man of the season for a reason. Deep down against Napoli, when 95% of people considered them dead and he woke them up. He was the No.1 motivator against the exploit against Barca. And the Ivorian responded present again - scoring such a crucial goal and the decisive penalty.

Congrats to Chelsea. They did it against all the odds and that's fact. Th exploit of Di Matteo is beyond applause-worthy. Yet, I'm still doubtful that Roman will keep him. He fully deserves IMO but Abramovitch always messed up with his choice of managers at crucial time and I'm not sure. Still, he finally won his most coveted prize - the Champions League. Will that change trigger a change in taste?

Speaking of extension and deserving - Drogba again !!! To me, he should get his 2 year contract. He finally pulled his team to his long with his old consorts - Cech, Lampard, Terry ect...

Sympathy to Bayern and while many hotheads will still argue that Bayern or Madrid or Barca deserved it more, at the end, football is the ultimate decider. In the end, it's the green pitch which make or break dreams. Beyond skills to make, beyond tactics to succeed, beyond teamwork's possession, beyond everything - football remains a sport where the most determinant and strong-willed team can clinch it against all odds. It's a British victory and that what makes me the happiest. Possession, Skills, Tactics, Domination, Statistics - all those go to water against the fiercest of will that awards victory.

Italian modernized defensive football, Spanish amazes with teamwork, German electrifies with their total football but England simply created football !!! It's in their gene and to promote that culture, they know that hardwork, determination and concentration might the most crucial factors. On a bigger picture, perhaps that's the lesson we could take from the heroic 2011/2012 Champions League Winners - CHELSEA !!!

He was way too tensed. He shouldn't have been picked to shoot IMO. When someone keep glaring the goalkeeper for a sign, you know that he isn't self-confident of himself and his shot. Reason that makes me think that the coach chosen him is because of his experience and because Robben refused to shoot after his miss earlier on.

I think, you guys don't know how strong Bayern can be...

At the 1st match when Bayern lost against Basel 0-1, they shocked the stadium at the 2nd match that they won 7-0.
They destroyed Marseille. Also, won against Real Madrid with a very good team-play!
+ that they are playing at their Stadium.
Chelsea never won a Champions League cup but Bayern did 4 times.

2 so contrasting teams. Chelsea did a campaign full of overcoming odds while Bayern keep dominating till the ultimate deception.

So, now Chelsea won their 1st CL in 2 attempts while Bayern lost 5 times in CL Finals while won 4 times.

Bayern and Barca did the same sh*t, seriously from winning positions, they allowed Chelsea to get back in the match. Chelsea scored from their only corner of the match which is ridiculous. No one could say anything to Bayern's manager for taking off Muller so late into to the match but that might have been a bad decision in hindsight. Robben, seriously how the f*ck could you miss, and then didn't take a penalty at the end, kept shooting miles wide throughout the match, very poor. Drogba played sh*t but will still take all the plaudits for one moment of brilliance which is fair enough.

As a United fan I didn't want to support Chelsea but just could not cheer for a German side, I found myself supporting Chelsea. That was until the way the match progressed where Baryern really should have won, and I changed sides. But in the end Chelsea managed to score a goal which made it slightly different to if they held out 0-0 for 120 minutes and then win, they actually did something in the match.

I have to say though, the best thing about this match is that the English managed to beat ze Germans in penalties but most of all, Tottenham can go suck it xd

Well, I usually don't believe much in myths trend but this one is interesting because it also had some factual meaning. I guess, that winning against Barcelona (especially when reigning champions) gives your the feel to have win in your most strenuous match of the season. I don't about Barcelona about best offensive team but I do maintain that it's the hardest to defend against Barcelona. It exhausts really mentally and kudos to teams who did that in CL. All-in-all, this trend is firstly a psychological boost and afterwards, it's a fun myth.

Well, I guess I'd repeat myself but in my eyes, football is for victory. It's a sport and as such, the sportsmen' job is to clinch for glories, victories and prizes. We are selfish to demand to be entertained. Cause the footballer's job is to strive to win a match. That's why they are paid. That's why they train for. That's why they became footballers. We should keep in mind that they are no entertainers. It's all the better when they also entertain us in package. But we are not really right to force all teams to practice entertaining football. Victory should be prized before entertainment. And we should value Chelsea for the way they striven for victory and not deplore how they did not entertain us as we wished for.

Bayern, despite also having very offensive football - shoots a lot and crosses a lot. Their main stars are wingers, so they do lots of crosses.

As for Robben, I'll applaud Cole firstly. The guy studies Robben brilliantly and barely got caught in his dribbles. Ribery did some penetration when he was on Robben's flank but Robben was well-studied and well-contained. Go and check how one Chelsea player and Cole pressed Robben when he was trying to re-get on the center to shoot in his classic position. It's far from a pity that he shoot wide repeatedly. It's one of the most well-applied tactic of Chelsea in this final.

I'm a bit sad for Tottenham but they blew their chances like United. United destroyed their once-8 points lead to hand the title to City while Spurs blew their once-10-point lead gap to hand the 3rd place to Arsenal. All that in dramatic fashion. United lost the EPL crown in the most thrilling and unbelievable 2-bouts on last day while Spurs' lost their CL qualification due to heroics of Blues' who nailed victory on lucky and dramatic PKs.

again football is full of surprise, yet again the worst team won, but i blame a little Bayern because they missed way too many chances but aainst 9 men defending that's a little tough and gomez was out of the match the entire time. to finalize this was the worst final i saw in these last years, only won team played during almost all the match. but anyway congats to chelsea and if they keep up this style they might win some more campions league.

Keep giving a f**k on total football and have nothing in a season like Bayern while Chelsea keep a winning spirit. Why do so many people wanna all teams to play total football or to play possession football or to see all players do crazy stuffs? Not all teams can play total football. In fact, not all teams should play total football.

You may be tired or angry or disgusted or whatever but the fact is that they fought better with their own means. It's the clash of tactics and style that makes football beautiful. Bayern may have adopted the most entertaining style of the match but Chelsea adopted the most prolific one. So, Chelsea won; grabbing 2 trophies while Bayern lost everything. Now, you may keep blathering about how you see Chelsea's football style as ugly, it doesn't matter.

He was offside. Deviation by opponent doesn't change offside rule. Go and re-see the rules. It's when a opponent made a deliberate pass that it's not offside.

In yesterday's case, the offside is decided when Robben did the shot. If Ribery was behind last defender when Robben kicked the ball, he wouldn't have been offside. But, he had a small margin where he was in front of last defender. So, it was a rightful decision. Still, I'll admit that it was a very close decision. Perhaps, no one would have make a scandal either if they allowed the goal.

I feel the same, when they played Barca i was actually rooted for Chelsea at first.
But when they started defending with 10 man i actually wanted Barca to win.
But Bayern should have made more of there chances, and that was there downfall.

Atleast Chelsea defend well with 10 players. It's far from something easy to resist so much in a match with your defense.

Take Bayern: They defended with all 11 players on Chelsea's corner and yet they conceded a goal.

You and many people may not like Chelsea's style but they do it with brio and that's what matter.

People criticising Chelsea's style of play are rather bitter. If you havent noticed Chelsea (Di Matteo's management) adapt and play accordingly depending who they are going to play. Chelsea only played defensively against Barcelona's two legs and last night at Munich against Bayern. If you look at other teams Chelsea played in between they played well with attacking mindset, wins against Tottenham(FA semi), QPR and Liverpool(FA final) will show you that.
