Premise:

From what we have seen with the multiple generations in the Narutoverse, it really is the exact same damn thing with every generation. A guy longs for power, he leaves for power and their best friend tries to stop him. We have Madara longing for power, Hashirama tries to stop him. Orochimaru longs for power, Jiraiya tries to stop him. Sasuke longs for power, Naruto tries to stop him. Even Danzo wanted so much power to surpass Hiruzen and supposedly fought many times. In the end, Danzo still couldn't surpass Hiruzen.

• Repetition is the way that Kishimoto wants the fans to figure out what happens next.

Conclusion:

• Udon will become jealous of Konohamaru's growth.
• Udon will betray Konoha just so he can surpass Konohamaru.
• These two will fight in the Valley of the End.
• This fight will cause the name to change into Barren Wasteland.

I think it's the opposite.. Naruto and Sasuke are going to be the last of this trend. Everything linking them to the past gen is clear on that I think and how Sasuke is on the edge of understanding everything and helping for once(IMO). Madara-Hashi, Oro-Jiraya, Obito-Kakashi, and then Naruto-Sasuke.. and their relationship is the only one that's becoming different as of late, showing times are changing for sure.

Also.. its kind of like a borderline fodder team, only person that serves any plot is Konohamaru.

Maybe you just want to see a 3rd part of Naruto XD idk. But I do think that after this is over Kishi will give us one last "arc" showing the future of the new ninja world and maybe a one shot.
