What did it actualy killed?
Water: Great shark bullet. Huge water technique with ability to suck chakra and grow bigger.
Earth: Earth golem is nice, also those earth plates used vs gedo mazu are impressive.
Lightning: Kirin, nuff said
Wind. FRS, even temari rocks, or if u add gai's technique that uses wind as moving force that tiger w/e.

I know amaterasu is supposedly katon, but im not buying that. Still failed alot. And its not common katon.
So what true katon has???

Apparently, Amaterasu is classified as "the highest ranked Katon ninjutsu". Originally I thought it was classified as Enton...

Im not speaking of elemental weaknesses etc here.
Im talkin about scale, effectiveness, special abilities here.
I would think madara's fire would surpass water dome of kisame somehow, but its pale in comparison.

U see katon has nothing especial, nor it is so big compared to others. Its simply undeveloped.
And amaterasu doesnt count since its only available to some MS users.

It was probably me. Now let me be specific once again: the basic fireball jutsu or the firestorm jutsu that has multiple, smaller fireballs shot at an opponent? Those are C-rank jutsus. Dragon Flame is A-rank Fireball and Mekkyaku is probably B-rank. It looks more devastating than other techniques and probably requires a lot more chakra control.

The part about Uchiha's jutsu being inferior wasn't me though. The Uchiha clan have always been renowned for their expertise at fire
attacks.

Am I right to think that Phoenix Flower Jutsu is C-Rank, since its only used as a diversion for attacks or for hiding Shuriken within the fireballs or something?

there the clan who excel in katon jutsu i mean i freaking love the Katon:Gōka Mekkyaku jutsu when i first saw it i was like fire is my element lol

The Uchiha symbol is a fan... they require the fire ball jutsu to be able to wear the Uchiha symbol on their clothes, it would be ironic and sad if the clan that have a fan as their mark and use the fire ball jutsu as their introduction jutsu to have weak Katon -.-

Katon is weak when compared to what the other elements can do. Maybe when we see some Katon clones, or a Katon wall or something I'll change my mind but yeah, Katon in general is weak.
