Tobirama and Hashi nearly blew up a room just by spiking their chakra in the latest anime ep. Applying a surge of ones chakra to overcome the opponents chakra restricting normal flow is one of the key ways to counter genjutsu.

O/T: As with the my comment to Nardo Pls its quite possible that the senju, who are know for their overwhelming chakra could simply surge their own chakra to overwhelm the Uchiha's control. On the other hand Chiyo also explained that its fine to fight an Uchiha as long as you have a partner to back you up, and potentially release you should you get caught. Also its worth noting that of the Uchiha's we have seen only Itachi really uses genjutsu often in actual combat, which may be a trend reflective of the Uchiha as a whole (i.e. genjutsu specialist may be rare even in the Uchiha). Disregarding specialists the Uchiha's normal genjutsu isn't actually that strong as Deidara simply trained his eye to see through it, and Danzo called Sasuke Tsukiyomi pathetic.

About the Madara vs. Hashi thing don't forget that hashi also has extremely overpowered genjutsu and has the capacity to surge his chakra easily. Seeing as Hashi is also very competent in genjutsu and likely has experience combating Uchiha genjutsu it possible Madara doesn't use it since its just not an effective strategy against him.

A] Companions are able to disrupt the chakra flow of the person affected in Genjutsu and it also leaves room for the person casting the Genjutsu to get hit by another Senju on the same field

B] Hashirama has the capability to fight against Uchihas while avoiding eye contact [High possibility since Gai is able to do the same]... There could also be a possibility Hashirama has the capability to disrupt the chakra flow from his enhanced cells :/

This is the absolute correct answer. ^_^ Kishi imho nerfed the Uchiha to appease fans who are not Uchiha fans. I feel he likes the Uchiha more than any other group, but sold out because he's trying to please everyone. Someone who tries to please everyone will in the end please no one. Though I cannot complain....It is his story, not ours. I feel Kishi has not been true to himself for a long time. Maybe....he is being pushed to make certain decisions I'm not sure.....

I feel it's obvious.....all too obvious that if Kishi allowed the Uchiha to be truly unleashed considering their arsenal.....the Senju would be like children compared to them. I feel that everyone who can see clearly knows this....though that's only how I feel...... XD

actually think for yourself, hashirama had perfect chakra control, and most likely a master at nature energy manipulation not forgetting the need of eye contact, So the only genjutsu that can affect hashi is most likely izananmi(attacks the body) or IT.

also genjutsu is too wanked the one two genjutsu's actually worth mentioning are izanami and the forms of tsokiumo

genjutsu isnt viable in massive battles as next guy to the enemy can dispell it.

Hashi could be having decent resistance to genjutsu like orochimaru while madara has no tsukuyomi or isnt famed for genjutsu at all
