If we're going by the "average" Hyuuga vs the "average" Uchiha, then Hyuuga > Uchiha

Average Hyuuga = Byakugan, Gentle Fist and Rotation (I think)
Average Uchiha = 3 Tomoe Sharingan, Katons and shurikenjutsu

Rotation > Katons + Shurikenjutsu
Byakugan > 3T Sharingan
Gentle Fist only needs one strike to do major damage.

But if we're talking out of the ones we know, Madara solos.

The Hyuga inherited one small fraction of Kaguya's power, and a fraction that she's not even famous for.

Madara alone has enough destructive power to give them a thrashing, starting adding other members like Sasuke, Itachi, Izuna etc and it's certifiable rape.

I believe the hyūga possess a greater doijutsu, and hyuga fodders are generally better than uchiha fodders, but the uchiha have more potential

And, also, they were feared for their sealing jutsu; not their fighting skills.

Basically, the only strong Hyuugas are Neji, Hinata and their families. On another hand, there are a lot of strong Uchihas including Itachi, Madara, Sasuke, Obito, Shisui and each one of them would solo the whole Hyuuga clan.

Since the op means the general strength of the clan I'm siding with the hyug. Simply because they are basically better on average, it seems that the byakugan insight is greater than the sharingan's and all hyuuga that know the gentle fists well most know it since it is the clans right of passage like the fire ball jutsu is the uchiha's, with the gentle fist I think the hyuuga are better, the kids like kid neji and hinata are capable of killing with one touch and their reflexes were so great because of their eyes and the gentle fist fighting style, I'm not sure the average uchiha can even touch the average hyuuga.

i know neji wasn't average but hinata was and it looks like its 3 of her fighting neji and the same for neji


and neji's hands were so fast and in conjunction with his reflexes it made him attack and defend simultaneously.

The average strength of the uchiha clan ranked them as 2nd strongest clan. The average strength of hyuuga didn't.
A 3 tomoe uchiha kills a hyuuga. Izanagi anyone?
