Sasuke always wanted to make the world better. However he completely lost it during the Kage summit. After speaking with Hashirama he realized that destroying the village would just continue the violence and corruption that destroyed his family. He still has a lot to learn about relying on others and you mentioned. Looking at his face in the recent chapter you can see he does have a heart and does have human emotions. It's just that no one has ever treated him like a human being since the Uchiha died. He was either a high expectation student, a rival, or hot boy on a pedestal. No one allowed him to be human.

Neither of them behave in a realistic fashion....that's why its a manga. Sasuke forgave and cried for a brother who killed his family, neighborhood, clan. Nobody would forgive someone like that even if they're your brother.

And naruto forgave the guy who killed his parents, indirectly killed his master, etc.

So, they're both stupid characters in that department.

But Itachi was forced to do it unlike Obito. Also, Itachi didn't technically kill the clan. Only his parents.
