As the title says... Uchiha Sasuke must think very well to keep on the war. He can't waste movements, his chakra reserves are not high, and for every move he waste, he will have lesser probabilities of survival.

- The elder son inherited the sage's eyes, high quality chakra, great spiritual energy, very lesser physical energy.
- The younger son inherited the sage's body, strong lifeforce, great physical energy, very lesser spiritual energy.

- To produce chakra to execute any jutsu, you need to mold both spiritual and physical energy.
- The Uzumaki clan is known for having great chakra reserves, this means that this clan has an abundant quantity of both Spiritual and Physical Energy, reason of why their chakra was so feared among other clans, and one of the main reasons of why it was selected to host the Kyuubi (Tug-o-war, chakra control, balance to use Kyuubi's power).
How are these things related to Uchiha Sasuke?
- Simple, the Uchiha are the sucesors of the Elder Son's bloodline. This means that if the Uchiha is incredibly prominent in the use of his/her Yin abilities (Sharingan, Genjutsu, Energy-based Ninjutsu), their Spiritual Energy is very high, and its chakra quality is very high too, at the cost of chakra reserves.
- This happens because to mantain the balance of the Yin Yang between both sons, the Sage had to inherit his own characteristics in balance too, it is just how works the Yin Yang in Taoism, because Yin and Yang are cooperative forces that creates the idoneous events in life when they both are balanced, just like the Uchiha Tablet says.
Pseudo-exceptions to this pseudo-rule about the Uchiha:
- Madara Uchiha
- Has Senju DNA
- Obito Uchiha
- Has Senju DNA
- These two characters obtained the power of the Younger Son's lineage. They forced the balance in their own respective bodies, and since the principle of Yin and Yang is certain for these two cases, they have almost unlimited chakra. This is what Kabuto meant when he said that Madara was in a better state than when Madara was in his prime... Kabuto bought perfection to Madara's balance, maximizing his chakra reserves pool thanks to Kabuto's experimentation, technology and scientific investigations with Orochimaru.
About Juugo and Sage Mode:
- Juugo's Clan powers resides in Ryuuchidou, that's manga fact. But it is stated also that this clan lose control over their natural energy and that's the reason of why the personality of the Juugo's Kekkei Genkai changes so drastically (and why he suffers a transformation) after awakening its power.
- Sage Mode is the absorption of natural energy and posterior balance between this natural energy and chakra pools. When the user of sage mode has enough chakra reserves and capacity to control the nature energy reaching the balance, the user gets more and more far from a transformation related to the place of training. In the case of Jirayia, he inherited some of the physical traits of the toads with more strength than Naruto, and Naruto's transformation was almost perfect (almost no Toad physical trait), a proof of his great chakra reserves.
- The contradiction: Juugo Clan members suffer transformations, and even Uchiha Sasuke did when he used the lesser level of Juugo's ability: The curse mark. Even with Sasuke's great control over his chakra, he was not able to suppress these physical traits. This only proves that Juugo's Clan Members and Uchiha Sasuke have moderate or low chakra reserves.
