Kimimaro is very much a threat here. Hyuga techniques are rendered useless because of his Kekkei Genkai, disabling the Gentle Fist to strike @ his internal organs. Taijutsu won't even work against him. And if this is healthy Kimimaro he is easily on par with Hebi Sasuke, and SM Naruto.
With Byakugan's insight, Kimimaro isn't catching Neji by surprise (never mind that SM Naruto can sense him all day, that's senjutsu chakra powering the CMs), and Neji's going to be wary of Kimimaro trying to go for his blind spot (intel means he knows about what Kimimaro can do with bone forest, and it's not like Kidomaru where Kimimaro can try and attack from a range so that Neji doesn't know here the attack is likely coming from). Strongly doubt Kimimaro has anything to counter an FRS, and this is War Arc Neji, so Neji has other options like Vacuum Palm to annoy Kimimaro from a distance. SM Naruto could always use clones to keep Kimimaro from doing surprise attacks anyway.
CM2 Sasuke would have to try to blitz Neji or Naruto in order to stop them from immediately attempting to wipe out Kimimaro, but I wanna say both of them are capable of reacting to a blitz regardless. And I'm not sure if Sauce could rely on Chidori Nagashi to do a stun blitz against Neji anyway (not sure how that would interact with chakra layer).
I just don't see how Kimimaro accomplishes anything in this fight. SM Naruto is one of the worst matchups he can get.
