Not surprising. A logic can be made that Sharingan is a watered down original Sharingan that belonged to the Holy Tree originally. That possibly makes it a powerful commodity to affect chakra. Otherwise, they don't even need MS for other Bijuus. Only Kurama requires it. Even then, it is very easy to suppress it within the host.

Sorry, but nothing in the manga states or supports this. Why else do you think the elders suspected the Uchiha to be behind the attack when only Shisui and Itachi had MS and both were under their thumb? Danzo also meant to control Kurama with MS, and he was a second hand user at most.

Obito has no Senju cells. Half of his body is made up of white Zetsu. We were literally shown the hollowed out part of one of the Zetsus. And nowhere in the manga is it claimed that it "enhanced" his abilities. It simply took away the fatique; allowed him to heal quicker and keep the repurcussions at bay.

Kurama requires MS. The remaining Bijuu do not. The manga states so that they can be subdued with the Sharingan. What's left there to debate?

It was considered to be limited to select ninja during Sasuke's era, those eyes were most likely collected from the corpses in the Uchiha graves, and in part 1 and the Hashirama flashback average Uchiha were shown with 1T or 2T Sharingan, not many had a fully developed 3T Sharingan.

Most should have it. As it's very easy to develop it in such situations. As the lives of Shinobis are in constant danger in such situations and Uchiha were hired every time to battle the Senju. Both were warring clans, basically.
