That slice was because Madara's susano'o was out of control at that moment. He himself said that. Lol, Team 7 can dodge and react fast within that moment.
And as I said, Meteors can be avoided/crushed since there is a Sage chakra mixed Bijuudama, A Susano'o and a powerful punch to stop them.
Also showing off the uncontrollable powers doesn't mean, they can't be avoided
Madara's clones can be handled since the Five kages also handled them. But Madara is defenseless at that time because his chakra is divided.
Let me clear this chakra dividing stuff. An Edo is resurrected with its full power. And that power is maintained as long as the person is Edo. But a jutsu used by the Edo also uses chakra and then gets refilled only after the jutsu is finished. As long as Edo's clones exist, the chakra in the original doesn't gets replenished. So as long as Madara uses his clones, his original chakra will be divided into those clones and won't get a refill as long as those clones exist.
