Hashirama was on his way when he saw, felt and heard his friend's outburst. The time for a face to face intervention was upon him. When he left the village, Tobirama insisted in going with him. He insisted yet Hashirama refused. His brother was strong willed and strong minded, skilled even...but narrow minded and weak in power. He couldn't see the implications of his actions and often acted just like those he criticized. If the Uchiha looked down on the Senju, Tobirama did it towards the Uchiha. And Hashirama didn't need that. No. He needed to make sure he could not only control Madara but also intervene. Hashirama's hope was still not lost. Even if deep down, he knew the chance was slim.
Racing through the dense forest he didn't feel the weight of the large scroll on his back or his weapon. He couldn't even feel his body. The anticipation of the encounter ahead put him almost in a trance. Despite not being as skilled of a sensor as Tobirama, he could feel his friend's chakra and how temperamental it was. However, despite all the turmoil inside him, he felt a frightening decisive calm. Madara was a man on a mission. And that mission worried Hashirama.
Reaching the large grassy plains outside the forest, Hashirama continued until he stopped in front of his friend. A look to behold, Madara was. Uchiha's always had a good taste for flare... Madara was no exception. Hashirama was careful though and even almost unconsciously, he avoided eye contact. He knew very well the result of that.
Ohai, Madara! Please, don't do anything you'll regret! Tobirama is young and naive and he speaks without thinking of consequences. I assure you he doesn't speak for the rest of us. He bares too much resentment inside Madara. You know how that is. Even Izuna was like that... said Hashirama, hoping he could reach for Madara's humane side. For Madara's hope... ...Madara, the village is our dream... What matters if its you or me who leads it? Will you betray me because of something as menial as power? As a title? Madara...
