I agree to some of your points, but they are all hypothetical.Just to clarify, it's not about dodging amaterasu at all. This about shielding oneself of amaterasu. Mental preparation/reaction =/ bodily reaction, this is why when discussing reaction time, we have to take into consideration both processes.
Orochimaru is vulnerable to gnejtusu, we acknowledge that. However, he has also shown the ability to resist uchica genjutsu, that's manga scans provided. Tsukoyomi is a KO, but that's a close range technique. Itachi blitzing Orochimaru, someone fast himself and with sensing ability to debatable, especially with his partner standing there.
Kakuzu's offense serve as distractions, nothing more IMO
How can Oro whiled himself from Amateratsu in time? More so, that's only if Oro is standing. If he's moving, he's as good as dead. There's no way the snake is defending him in time nor is their any reason to believe so. Anyways, with or without mental preparation, he's still not reacting in time with his current reaction feats. He will sense it coming, but he won't do anything in that short interval.
When did he resist Uchiha genjutsu? lel. He was trapped in Itachi's genjutsu, and he only was capable of moving freely after Itachi had induced pain on his body, as any other genjutsu. He attempted to stop it in the genjutsu world, but that doesn't mean Itachi couldn't have added further restraints as he did on Naruto.. And Itachi can blitz close enough to make Tsukoyomi usable, there's definitely no doubt about that.. And you act as if Orochimaru is fighting this battle while he's always standing and moulding chakra, when he's shown himself as a very active fighter...
Atsugai destroys Hiruko shell. Atsugai + Zukkoku deactivates any IS used by Sasori, since it easily reaches the Curie point. It burned a tree to ash he instantly, that alone is a statement of its heat. It is most definitely hotter than 585 C, which is magnetised Curie point... 585C would never dream of burning a tree to ash instantaneously, a wild guess would be 700-800 and that is still low balling. Anyways, once it reaches the curie point of magnetite, IS is unusable thus Sasori is completely vulnerable to the current Zukkoku +Atsugai being used, or a simple Amateratsu. So no, he's a distraction and a very viable opponent to Sasori..
