According to itachi, in the past, loads of uchiha used izanagi. (chapter with sasuke, itachi and kabuto, where itachi explains izanami).
That is why they invented izanami (which you dont need senju dna for at least) to stop those izanagi users.
You arent gonna tell me that loads of uchiha in the past had senju dna.
To do the real izanagi (the super long lasting one of 10min that obito used) you need senju dna.
You can do the imperfect one without senju dna.
the techniques are just powered up by senju dna, they do not require it.
