I actually disagree with this.... though i should clarify, I'm a generalist fan of the Manga, I don't care about any specific person really, though naruto tends to be a bit dearer to me then most other characters as the main protagonist.

Any way...

The Rinnegan being the evolution of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan fits with the whole "The clan with powerful eyes and an accursed legacy", regardless of how it's acquired.

I mean, each evolution of the Sharingan has required some horrible or difficult thing (the easiest is the two tomoe, which might just be going through puberty, but i know of few people who would describe it as 'easy'. :shrug.

Two-Tomoe Sharingan -> Three Tomoe Sharingan -> Mangekyo Sharingan -> Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan -> Rinnegan

The fact that there's an evolution for the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan is even better.
That means after you murder a friend or brother, unlocking the MS, and rip the eyes out of someone else who is mostly likely a blood relative, you can evolve it even further by doing something else.

That something else probably involves something horrible. That something may be worse then theft of another person's eyes, but we can't say for sure.

It's probably not simply having a strong chakra or being skilled at using the EMS in a certain way. Those methods aren't f***ed enough.

Evolving ems to rinnegan may not be a sacrifice like someone mentioned above, if u remember madaraa said he got it before he dies, what i mean is that maybe getting rinnegan happens when u realize/feel something (which madara didnt feel before he was in his death bed), then the ems will evolve to rinnegan.

rinnengan is not an uchiha blood-line :flaw::flaw::flaw::flaw::flaw::flaw::flaw::flaw::flaw:

you've to be an uchiha related with senju somehow (or like Madara with Senju DNA implanted) in order to awaken rinnengan... (nagato got rinnengan from tobi, who is an uchiha) :flaw: :sy: (at least we don't know, whether another blood-line can awaken rinnengan (kakashi could only success in MS)... and again :flaw: the rinnengan eyes could (yet, other possibility unknown) only origin from uchiha bloodline...

I mean its like Uchihas are not even Uchihas any more

it's like a car, if it's f*** fast, it's okay if it's ugly...
so rinnengan leads to more power or/and other power...and it's okay although it's ugly...

I don't dislike it, but it could have been handled better. At least they could have shown EMS more before showing the switch.

Exactly, I mean Rinnegan was not only debuted by a non-Uchiha like Nagato,

but it was already beaten by Kurama, making EMS look less powerful or relevant since it is supposed to be not as powerful as the Rinnegan
