Itachi is my favorite character in all of naruto.

He went the distance to prove that he was a hero. He allowed himself to be be hated even thoughhe was truly a hero. He never gave up, and held the wisdom of the kages in doing all what he did. He was a true hero, never backing down, working as a double agent to supress the akatsuki.

he could've easily killed naruto, kakashi, sakura and chiyo, but he held back, and in turn saved their lives.
-
not to mention Itachi is awesome he has mastered so many jutsu, fought so many battles, saved the ninja world from edo tensie, defeated nagato, easily pwned sasuke, and easily beat pre-sage mode naruto.

he is just awesome.
