Sasuke never once stated that him being able to see chakra better with the 3rd tomoe is why he has precog nor does the ability to see chakra ever change based on how many tomoe you have. Fanfiction.

Byakugan>Sharingan in chakra sight is because Byakugan sees more, not because Byakugan sees it better.

It does see better though. It can see the Tenketsu, network, Chakra color, and Chakra flow, Sharingan can only see the latter two.

The Byakugan is stated to be better because it can see the inner coil system along with the flow of chakra. That has not a thing to do with whatever "chakra sight" lets Sasuke predict movements.

That proves that Byakugan can read movements to some extent. We've known this for years now. Not new information. 2-Tomoe can also read movements as shown by Sasuke vs. transformed Gaara. Precognition is a higher form of that. A higher form the Byakugan has not been shown, stated or hinted to possess.

It is new information. Previously, there was only the implication that the Byakugan could keep track of fast movements such as when Neji watched Lee with his Byakugan, same way how Sasuke watched Lee with his 2T Sharingan. Yet neither Neji or Sasuke saw Lee's movements happening before they happened, they simply were able to keep track of him

This statment is more akin to 3T Sharingan's skills than 2t Sharingan's.

Shikadai's statement is not the same as this at all.

649 chapters of Sharingan > 2 episodes of the Byakugan + 50 chapters of the Byakugan

No offense though, but why waste the time? Boruto's Dojutsu is most likely the Byakugan's successor, like how the Sharingan has upgrades, the Byakugan's isn't that strong. Though it has variations.

Even if Byakugan's precog is below Sharingan's, which I don't get if Precog is based on Chakra sight, people are trying to say that Shikadai's statement isn't anything new, which it IS.

Byakugan was never before said to be able to see attacks coming before they happen, there was only the implication that it could keep track of fast movements (like 2T Sharingan) with Neji using Byakugan when Lee went 5 Gates. Shikadai's statement is not that.

Seeing movements with clarity is not the same as seeing movements before they happen.
