Uchiha dynasty

Why has there ever been an Uchiha Kunoichi? Is the Sharingan a male-only bloodline?

Just wondering...

We havent seen any kunoichi with sharingan. They were probably all slain in the massacre if there were any from the start. Kishimoto does seem to prefer male shinobi and gives them more power. I always thought that Anko was an Uchiha, but apparently shes not
