First of all, the word genocide didn't exist before the thing existed.
People came up with the word afterwards to pin down these horrible things.



Itachi was not on a quest to exterminate Uchiha blood, only to secure a real threat to peace.


Now, who were the Uchiha and why would you want to protect them?


First of all, Uchihas were terrorists, they were people that wanted to overthrow the system and create chaos. They were garbage people spitting on Madaras and Hashiramas legacy.

Provoked by Tobiramas extreme measures, how is it ok for people to want to overthrow the system just cus you have to live outside the village?

How is it a bad thing to be the police?


Anyone in their right mind would have thrown the Uchiha off a cliff for being so stupid.

Itachi had a chance, as the only person in between to show those suckers what really matters and how stupid they were and that's what he did.

I agree that the Uchiha revolt needed to be stopped. I do not agree that the method to do this needed to be outright murder, much less genocide of the whole clan. I am not saying I can't understand the rationale, I was certainly able to come up with similar lines of thinking in regard to groups I considered to be a threat. Why put up with a group that will be perpetually unhappy and culturally resort to violence when you can simply end it all in one fell swoop?

There is a simple practicality in it. Dead clans don't wage propaganda wars, can't be used as proxies by foreign powers, and don't try to stage coupes. Route the whole lot back to conception and be done with it. Problem ended. Call me a heinous monster all you want - but it's all academic, now.

However, this is an overly fatalistic viewpoint that believes the Uchiha are incapable of choosing their own fate or destiny, that they are incapable of changing their outlook and abandoning their adversarial stance - or that they do not deserve the opportunity to make such changes or re-evaluations of said outlook.

As such, I disagree that the Uchiha deserved to be wiped out. I may agree that their reasoning for a revolt was pedantic, at best, but at the point we saw things in the Naruto storyline, the Uchiha did not deserve to be wiped out.

Well, the thread is in wrong section. Uchiha fans never cease to trigger others (like me). I really thought of a post to piss you all off, so I thought to post off-topic since this site is going to hell, but 1 hour? Did I take this long to think of a reply?
