Okay So I've got a what if questions for you on the Uchiha Coup D'é Tat.

1. Minato said that he failed Hiruzen by dying when the village needed him most especially when all the Uchiha conspiracy things were going on. So if Minato were to have lived, do you think he would've been successful in stopping their plans? Also what tactic do you think he would've used?

2. If the Coup D'é Tat were to have taken place and been successful how would this had changed the village? Would it be better/worse and what changes would have been brought about?

3. If you were Hokage of the Hidden Leaf at that time, what plan of action would you have taken? What would you have done differently, and what would you have done the same?

Just some thought provoking questions to instigate a Socratic Seminar. Please leave your thoughts down below.

1. I think Minato would try to talk them out of doing it. He did teach Naruto about the cycle of hatred.
2. The Uchihas would make life better for them.
3. I would have tried to negotiate with the Uchiha if they won't listen then defeat the Uchiha army.

1.)I definitely think Minato would have stopped it, the Uchiha wouldn't have dared to cross him. Not only that, but Danzo wouldn't have had the away that he had with Hiruzen because they were close, Minato most likely wouldn't have let Danzo do what he wanted. Knowing Minato, he probably would have continued the talks as long as possible. It probably wouldn't have even come to a massacre if Minato had been around.

2.)Had the coup taken place, there would be no village. The Leaf would have been destroyed because the civil war would have enticed the Leafs enemies to attack. Even if that didn't happen, the Leaf would be a pile of shit, as it would be run by people that out themselves and their clan above the entire village and their comrades. The Uchiha were self motivated, they didn't care about the village (except for the small few) and that would have reflected in their reign.

3.) I probably would have killed Danzo even before the Uchiha incident started to heat up, he had already betrayed the leaf a couple of times. I also would never have had those idiot councilors as advisors in the first place. I would have tried to talk as long as possible, and make necessary concessions, but not more than that, since they were self motivated.

If minato was alive after the attack. He would have told them more details in the attack instead of having Danzou assume shit.

had the coup taken place, danzo would swoop in and surround the uchihas, destroying them.
he implied thats what inevitably was gonna happen. danzo said "whether a war happens or not, uchihas will lose and get annhilated".

and no the leafs enemies dont give a shit what goes on beyond their own borders. they didnt try invading after kyuubi attacked the leaf did they?

The Uchiha were self motivated, they didn't care about the village (except for the small few) and that would have reflected in their reign.
uchihas were motivated by righteous revolution against a corrupt government. and we dont know their true plan anyway. maybe they had a way to take power but at the least bloodshed possible. itachi betraying their secrecy would be why a war happens at all. not because their plan sucked

Excellent point.

1. Yes he would have made a difference talking to fugaku like "my wife and you're wife are best friends, so let's make peace"

2. Everyone in the village was anti-uchiha anyway there would have been dispute among the villages but uchiha would have integrated within society in the end otherwise there would be a civil war

3. Give in to the uchiha's demands because they were unfairly treated in the first place and all they want is to be recognized as citizens like the rest of the leaf villages and not like mental psychopaths.
