The Uchiha were famous for their powerful chakra, exceptionally strong techniques, and natural aptitude for anything combat-related. The clan possessed a proficiency in fire jutsu, having created several and using them more skilfully than any other. Their signature jutsu was the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique. Clan members were not recognized as adults by the rest of the clan until they could successfully use this technique. The Uchiha were also highly known for their mastery of ninja tools. They themselves invented many shuriken move sets which required the use of thin metal wires, one example being the Windmill Triple Blades technique.
The Sharingan.
The Uchiha clan were most feared for their powerful Sharingan, a kekkei genkai which gives them the ability to see the "colours" of chakra, allowing them to analyse and copy their opponent's skills, along with a number of other abilities. Only a select few members of the Uchiha clan manifested the Sharingan. Due to their natural affinity for battle, and their proficiency with eye genjutsu, many ninjas considered it more tactically favourable to flee rather than face an Uchiha shinobi in one-on-one combat. Among the techniques granted by the Sharingan, the Izanagi is deemed to be forbidden, due to it rendering the user blind in exchange for temporarily manipulating reality and fantasy within the user's own personal space, such as turning injuries and even death inflicted upon the user into mere illusions. Though the clan was feared for their Sharingan, the eyes have also been transplanted into various characters outside the clan.
Madara and Izuna, the first Uchiha to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Madara Uchiha was the first to develop an advanced form of the Sharingan, the Mangekyō Sharingan, which can be activated by the pain of losing close friends or family members. However, frequent use of the Mangekyō Sharingan deteriorates the user's eyesight and results in blindness. Only by taking the eyes of a sibling can one's vision be restored. Itachi indicated that the intricacies of the Mangekyō Sharingan were only discovered after years of trial and error, implying that many Uchiha throughout history had made the attempt to gain the Mangekyō Sharingan.

The Sharingan's abilities consist of two parts: the "Eye of Insight" (洞察眼, Dōsatsugan) and the "Eye of Hypnotism" (催眠眼, Saimingan).[4] The first of the Sharingan's powers is being able to see the flow of chakra. The Sharingan can tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular. The Sharingan's second-most prominent ability grants the user an incredible clarity of perception, allowing them to easily recognise genjutsu and different forms of chakra, though not to the same extent as the Byakugan. This also allows the user to pick up on subtle details, enabling them to read lip movements[5] or mimic something like pencil movements.[6] As the Sharingan evolves, gaining more tomoe seals, this ability extends to being able to track fast-moving objects before finally giving some amount of predictive capabilities to the user, allowing them to see the image of an attacker’s next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body and counter or dodge without any wasted movement. However, even though the user may be able to see an attack or know it is coming, their body may not always have time to react.
The Sharingan's third and most well-known ability is that it grants the user the ability to memorise any technique that he or she witnesses, apart from other kekkei genkai techniques. The user can memorise ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu with near perfect accuracy, allowing the user to use the techniques as their own, or even modify them to create their own new techniques, much like Sasuke Uchiha's Lion Combo. In order to reproduce a copied technique, however, one must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them. A prime example is Rock Lee's brand of taijutsu. While Sasuke was able to copy some of Lee's moves, they put a much more significant strain on him since he hasn't trained nearly as much as Lee has. In addition to physical skill and kekkei genkai techniques, the Sharingan cannot reproduce techniques dependent on other factors, such as summons that the user has not signed a contract with.
The Sharingan's final commonly-used ability is capable of inducing a unique brand of hypnosis that involves suggesting actions and thoughts to the opponent through genjutsu cast by simple eye contact between both parties.[7][8] More advanced Sharingan users can take the hypnosis ability even further to the point where a powerful summon like Manda or even the Nine-Tailed Fox may be controlled. When this was used against Manda and the Nine-Tailed Fox their eyes took on the tomoe pattern of the users' Sharingan while under hypnotic influence.
The hypnotic ability coupled with the other aspects of the Sharingan, can make the user appear as if they can "see the future". First, the user must perfectly mimic every move their opponent makes and possibly their thoughts and words through careful observation. Then, they suggest an action to the opponent such as hand seals for a technique that the opponent and Sharingan user already know and copy that. With these things done, the user can complete the action even before the opponent does, possibly using the Sharingan's genjutsu to confuse or delay them. As with other genjutsu, genjutsu cast by the Sharingan are capable of putting an opponent to sleep, inducing paralysis, replaying memories to someone else, or creating various illusions to deceive someone. The potency of the Sharingan's illusion is dependent on the user's knowledge and skill with implementing genjutsu.
In addition to these commonly used techniques, the Sharingan allows the user to perform the genjutsu Izanagi. Using Izanagi, the user can warp reality for a short amount of time, changing reality into illusion and illusion into reality. However, this technique has been dubbed kinjutsu, because use of it causes the user to go blind in the eye that performed Izanagi. To make full use of Izanagi, the DNA of both the Uchiha and Senju clans are required.
Although the Sharingan consumes the user's chakra while active, the chakra levels that the user must exert is so insignificant that they can keep it active constantly. In fact, Itachi Uchiha was so masterful of it, he was able to keep it active for most of the time, only once deactivating it after using Tsukuyomi on Sasuke and Amaterasu to escape Jiraiya. However, when a Sharingan is transplanted to a non-Uchiha, the chakra drain is significant, leading them to cover it up when not in use, to stop the drain.
As the leader of the Uchiha clan, it is likely that he was well-versed in all the clan's techniques. He taught Sasuke the clan's signature jutsu, the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique demonstrating great mastery of the technique. It is seen in Part I that he has the Sharingan, similar to most members in the Uchiha clan. Also, being the leader of the Konoha Military Police Force, it can be said th He also had some knowledge about the Mangekyō Sharingan, telling Sasuke that it needs a great sacrifice to awaken.
Sasuke is established as a genius, even by the battle-excelling Uchiha clan's standards at the series' start, excelling at all that he does and finding little difficulty in more challenging tasks. Scoring the highest in the performance tests and one of the highest in written tests, he easily graduated at the top of his class in the Academy. His prowess with Uchiha Fire Release and weapon-based techniques surprised Kakashi during their first training session. Madara, Itachi, and Orochimaru have all stated that Sasuke possesses the unique potential to become much stronger than Itachi, who was already considered a genius above all others. Orochimaru even mentioned that Sasuke is stronger than the former was at the same age, when he was training Sasuke in Part II of the story.[6][7] Madara has also stated to Zetsu that in time, Sasuke could become more powerful than Nagato.[8]
By Part II, he develops much of his potential and becomes a very powerful ninja, strong enough to fight on par with several highly skilled shinobi. Admittedly, in his battle against Orochimaru, Sasuke downplays his victory, and attributes it to Orochimaru's sickly state.[9] According to Madara, Itachi had already determined the outcome of their fight, and was sick as he was using medicine to prolong his life. However, Sasuke managed to defeat Deidara, an S-rank ninja well known for his abilities, without any form of handicaps. After receiving his Mangekyō Sharingan, Sasuke proved capable of holding his own against at least two Kage and their bodyguards, before being weakened to the point of exhaustion due to his battle with them. Despite Danzō Shimura being able to use Shisui's Sharingan and holding back to battle Madara, Sasuke was able to defeat him with a clever genjutsu and his willingness to sacrifice a hostage to win.
Sasuke is shown possessing a high amount of chakra. At the age of 7, he already had enough chakra to use his clan's signature fire technique, something Kakashi was very surprised, even when Sasuke performed it at age 12, as such techniques usually require more experience and development in chakra. In Part II, he was able to summon Manda, a high level summon, while in a weakened state to protect himself from Deidara's suicide-bomb technique. Sasuke was also able to use many highly chakra-consuming techniques several times a day, exampled by his reckless usage of all three of his Mangekyō Sharingan techniques against Danzō and the other Kage multiple times, among other techniques like the Chidori. Quality-wise, Sasuke's chakra is noted to be very foul and powerful. When Sasuke first arrived at the Land of Sound and gave Kabuto a frightening glare, both he and Orochimaru took note of Sasuke's exceptional chakra. The Nine-Tailed Demon Fox points out that Sasuke has the same foul chakra as Madara's, whose chakra was particularly strong even amongst the Uchiha.[10] Karin has also mentioned that Sasuke's chakra, as he approached the point of manifesting Susanoo, had become even darker and colder than the corrupting influence of the Cursed Seal of Heaven in its second stage; it has since continued to grow even more potent along with the development of Susanoo.
Under Orochimaru's training, Sasuke has developed an immunity towards most poison, to a level that the one Sakura learned from Shizune would not affect him.[11] However, he was not immune to the effects of Orochimaru's true form's blood.at he was very intelligent and a formidable opponent in battle.
Being of the Uchiha clan, and as noted by Kakashi, Itachi was a true successor of the Sharingan[8] mastering it already when he was eight years old. From a stationary position, he would study an opponent's movements with his Sharingan and respond accordingly, often with a genjutsu. Itachi was often praised for his prowess with genjutsu and could cast it by merely pointing at or looking at someone, and could similarly turn an opponent's genjutsu against them with Demonic Illusion: Mirror Heaven and Earth Change.[9] According to Ao, he could also use his genjutsu to take control of other individuals from a long distance.[10] Most of his genjutsu are derived from the Sharingan, but regardless of whether they are or not, all of them cause powerful mental trauma; Itachi is a master of genjutsu, and uses them often.
Using his Sharingan, he could also perfectly fake Shisui Uchiha's suicide letter after he had killed him. He had trained so much with his eyes that he had reached the stage where he could have his Sharingan activated for extended periods of time, with minimal drain on his chakra levels.
Shisui was noted to be one of the most talented members of his battle-excelling clan. He had earned the nickname of "Shisui of the Body Flicker", possibly implying that he had great mastery of the Body Flicker Technique. He was known as one of the most powerful genjutsu users of the Uchiha clan[3] Another testament to his prowess is that Kabuto Yakushi wanted to revive him for the war but failed to find sufficient DNA samples.
Sharingan Edit
Like many members of his clan, Shisui was a wielder of the Sharingan. He was praised alongside Itachi for having the greatest mastery of and sheer power in its usage.
Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan.
Shisui possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan. With his Mangekyō Sharingan he could use a unique genjutsu of the highest calibre that allowed the user to control the mind of the target to the point where even the one it was being used on wasn't aware of it themselves. This ability was apparently so unique and powerful, that Madara Uchiha himself (despite having access to both the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and the Rinnegan) coveted it, and was angry that Danzō managed to destroy the eye that was transplanted into him from Shisui at the moment of his death. The genjutsu could only be used once in a decade.

if a bunch of people had MS i dont see how itachi killed them all. with MS they should all be incredibly powerful (maybe not at itachi's level but still powerful) and more than a match for itachi. i dont see any way for itachi to go through the entire clan and kill everybody with relative ease if they all had MS. and all of the MS users we know of are incredibly powerful and are the elite in the uchiha. shisui was considered itachi's equal maybe even better and he also had MS so i see any uchiha that has MS as being on par with itachi and shisui. no way more people had MS. if they did there is more to the massacre than previously mentioned.
