neither it is the fact most people cant handle power they are born with a gift then when they see what power they have and realize they can get more they get greedy and take more power madara and saskue are good examples of this power makes them worse they want more and more. it currupts them but used correctly like shisu or itachi who want to use there powers for others and not for their own personal gain it is a gift for sure
