:shrug:Kishi LOVES history to repeat itself.
So from what we know about how the plot of Naruto tends to turn, I feel like one point that will be made at some point is that the Uchiha clan, despite being arguably the most powerful clan still in existance today, is ultimately doomed to failure. Consider the history of the Uchiha since their founding.
The true Uchiha began with the birth of Uchiha Madara, and then that of his younger brother Izuna. The brothers were close to one another and their powers were the greatest as the heads of the clan. Personality wise, they differed, Madara is shown to be spiteful and proud, power-hungry, unforgiving, (And above all) Hateful. The first born of the Uchiha was the begining of what they call "the curse of hatred". Izuna on the other hand, was caring for his brother and his people, not as much of his personality is shown, but what we can see is that he was far more peaceful than Madara. He had calm eyes and wore his hair in a long ponytail. Madara and Izuna, being as powerful as they were, awakened the next level of the sharingan and they alone posessed the MS. This however proved to be tragic, as Madara's hunger for power and his pride drove him to clash again and again with the Senju and other such clans of that time, eventually Madara's light started to fade from his sharingan and Izuna, being a devoted brother and clansmen, "gave" his eyes to his older brother despite his peaceful nature and was left blinded and later died. Now armed with the Eternal MS, Madara waged epic war with the senju over the founding of the leaf. He was defeated, and the Uchiha faded into the obscurity of the leaves, always watched over and generally mistreated because the village couldnt be too careful around them.
This is what eventually stoked the flames for the Uchiha to attempt an overthrow of the village of the leaves. Which forced military officials to have the clan snuffed out, by none other than the latest pearl of their own bloodline, Uchiha Itachi.
Back in our present time, The Uchiha have essentially been erased and began anew. Once again, with two loving brothers, Itachi and Sasuke are the two known members left. The roles are reversed, the story is the same. This time, the elder of the two, Itachi has a heart that desires peace, and loves his brother and his people enough to give up anything for them. Sasuke on the other hand, is poisoned and hateful over the extermination of the rest of his family. Just as madara directed his hate at his one sworn rival (Senju Hashirama) Sasuke directs his at his own brother for what he was made to believe. Through their clashes, once again, both brothers managed to awaken their MS. The difference was the same again, Itachi, who didnt seek out fights that werent needed, didnt overuse his MS. But Sasuke, who had so much hate and rage that he attacked people over virtually nothing with his new MS powers, started to go blind very soon after getting them. Once again, the hateful brother takes the eyes of the peaceful one to attain the EMS.
Now with his EMS, Sasuke directs his hate at the Uchiha's constant enemy, the leaf, even more specifically, Naruto. Anyway the correlation i guess im trying to make is that IF sasuke were to have his final battle with Naruto and NOT be killed/become a protagonist again, he would most likely go to begin a new age of the Uchiha, leading them down EXACTLY the same hateful road as Madara did long ago. This is because the most powerful of the Uchiha clan will always be two brothers, one who wants war and one who wants peace, but the peaceful brother is doomed by his love for the other.
But this is my first time making such a long thread topic, maybe i stopped making sense. Do you think in the end Sasuke's true nature will come out to be hateful? (as history predicts) or do you think that he will break the cycle and reveal to still have the heart he used to when he was close with Itachi as a child?
