For the people who keep saying how we don't need universal healthcare or welfare because people are lazy and just need to get a job.

Lol I believe many people will be surprised of the Democratic Party's history. The party is not as clean as they were made out to be.

Keep in mind that the Democrats were the conservative party back then.

Because universal healthcare doesn't exist, it means it's not the greatest? Every country had a negative past at its establishment, so no need for cherry picking. You fail to understand what USA symbolises: Entrepreneurship.

American society highly emphasizes entrepreneurship and business. Entrepreneurship is the act of being an entrepreneur, which can be defined as ''one who undertakes innovations, finance and business acumen in an effort to transform innovations into economic goods". This may result in new organizations or may be part of revitalizing mature organizations in response to a perceived opportunity.

The most obvious form of entrepreneurship refers to the process and engagement of starting new businesses (referred as Startup Company); however, in recent years, the term has been extended to include social and political forms of entrepreneurial activity. When entrepreneurship is describing activities within a firm or large organization it is referred to as intra-preneurship and may include corporate venturing, when large entities spin-off organizations.

According to Paul Reynolds, entrepreneurship scholar and creator of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, "by the time they reach their retirement years, half of all working men in the United States probably have a period of self-employment of one or more years; one in four may have engaged in self-employment for six or more years. Participating in a new business creation is a common activity among U.S. workers over the course of their careers." And in recent years, business creation has been documented by scholars such as David Audretsch to be a major driver of economic growth in both the United States and Western Europe.
If universal healthcare existed, taxation rate would skyrocket because government needs to money to fund free healthcare services for all 316 million Americans. Do you know what this means? It means there will be less economic development. European Union has a very low GDP growth, approx 1.9% at 2016. Just because universal public healthcare works at, for example, Norway, doesn't mean it works on an enormous country like US. Most of the healthcare services are private institutions to begin with.

America symbolises entrepreneurship instead of free services, because people will learn to invest to create more money for themselves to the point of able to finance their needs without government support, and at the same time support the national economy by contributing in consumer service and tax; if services were free, values of entrepreneurship will be lost.

U.S. didn't become ultra capitalistic until Reagan. So no, the U.S.A. does not represent that. The U.S.A was not founded because the settlers wanted capitalism.

Actually no, it would not. If we get rid of privatized healthcare for a universal single-payer system, the U.S. household would save thousands because we would no longer have to pay monthly premiums. Instead we just get a small increase in tax, but because the monthly premiums are ridiculous in price, then we would instead save money.

That's a dumb rationalization of it. If you're saying something can't work in the U.S.A because of a different form of government, then how does it work in different countries with different forms of government? Why would it not work? Canada is pretty similar to the U.S. yet it has universal healthcare.

It's not free if you pay taxes....so what's your point? We're paying taxes for a universal healthcare system.

Not everything has to be privatized. Some services should be regulated by the government rather than corporate interest, where they could take advantage of the product and the prices as they are doing currently.

Should social security, the police, the army, or public education be privatized then?

You're getting informal over an open discussion you created. I will address your points once, then you're free to draw what conclusion you desire, and hopefully a rational one.

U.S. didn't become ultra capitalistic until Reagan. So no, the U.S.A. does not represent that. U.S.A was not founded on the basis of capitalism.
Nowhere did I say USA was established on capitalism. Don't put words in my mouth. I said USA symbolises entrepreneurship, which existed since 1900s when the US became the largest economy in the world, surpassing the British Empire. Large number of business people immigrated and contributed to the economic success of the country. You know nothing about entrepreneurship because you're lazy and love free stuff.

Actually no, it would not. If we get rid of privatized healthcare for a universal single-payer system, the U.S. household would save thousands because we would no longer have to pay monthly premiums. Instead we just get an increase in tax, but because the monthly premiums were ridiculous, then we would instead save money.
Because increasing tax beyond the current federal rate for average American, which is 25% is a good idea, Mr. progressive? That will only make the rich, who are the driving force for economic growth, to tax haven elsewhere. Do you what that will do? It will decrease less economic growth, so that lazy liberals like you who don't want to work to pay off their needs and have someone else do it for them. Work your butt off and pay for your needs.

I know that free services are bad for a country, because I know many people from socialist countries have abused the system; and all those socialist countries have low economic growth.

That's a dumb rationalization of it. If you're something can't work because in the U.S.A because of a different form of government, then how does it work in different countries with different forms of government? Why would it not work? Canada is pretty similar to the U.S. yet it has universal healthcare.
You're partially wrong, Mr. progressive. The reason it doesn't work due to population number, tax code, geographic difference and so on. It works for Canada because its population is less than even California, but other reasons include the political sphere of states, either being republican or democrat. It doesn't work due to complex reasons; search it up.

It's not free if you pay taxes....so what's your point? We're paying taxes for a universal healthcare system.
Like I said: work your butt off and pay for your shit. I decide where my tax should and defiantly not for you to get free shit.

Not everything has to be privatized. Some services should be regulated by the government rather than corporate interest, where they could take advantage of the product and the prices as they are doing currently.
Because government regulations have defiantly accelerated economic propensity? You might need to keep up with EU to know why government is not the best solution for this.

Should social security, the police, the army, or public education be privatized then?
Some of those privatised like universities and military companies.

The only rational conclusion I draw is that you're still in high school and don't actually pay taxes.

So then how do you know that the U.S. represents entrepreneurship to most people? That's not a word that comes to mind at first. Most individuals say freedom or liberty which were the principles it was founded upon.

How do you know I'm lazy and love free stuff? Pretty sure I have a job and pay my taxes. So way to embarrass yourself.

Are you an entrepreneur? If so, then please tell what business you run?

Regardless of what it symbolizes, it does not mean we can't have certain things, in this case a single-payer healthcare system.

President Lincoln made college tuition free for most colleges up until Reagan changed that. So free stuff existed in the U.S.

So were your ancestors lazy?

Because increasing tax beyond the current federal rate for average American, which is 25% is a good idea, Mr. progressive? I know that free services are bad for a country, because I know many people from socialist countries have abused the system; and all those socialist countries have low economic growth.
Again, how is it free if I'm paying taxes?

Um. I just explained to you how it would work. Taxes increase but we don't have to pay premiums anymore which make us save money even if we pay a small increase in tax. So we're still saving money.

Ok if you know many people, then name them all and tell me exactly how they abused the system?

Ok and I have a job and pay my taxes. But unlike you who only thinks of himself, I actually think of other people who can't afford it and would gladly help them out if I could.

You're partially wrong, Mr. progressive. The reason it doesn't work due to population number, tax code, geographic difference and so on. It works for Canada because its population is less than even California, but other reasons include the political sphere of states, either being republican or democrat. It doesn't work due to complex reasons; search it up.
I did search it up and none of what you said is true. It's just an excuse for someone who is uneducated.

Like I said: work your butt off and pay for your shit. I decide where my tax should and defiantly not for you to get free shit.
Actually no you don't. You don't really get to decide where your taxes go.

Like I said, already have a job and pay my taxes.

So you're an ******* who only thinks of himself then? So you'd just let someone die who is less fortunate than you simply because they can't afford it, like those Native Americans? Yeah, I'd really like you to go there and tell them that they're lazy.

Because government regulations have defiantly accelerated economic propensity? You might need to keep up with EU to know why government is not the best solution for this.
EU is not one government dawg and we're not part of it.

Some of those privatised like universities and military companies.
Yeah, but by your logic that's a good thing. So would you privatize Social Security, ALL public education, ALL military, and ALL of the police force?
