Both parties are responsible. The girl is guilty of putting herself in the situation to get raped(by drinking alot). But even thought the girl put herself in that situation, it does not take away in any way shape or form, how sickening it is for those boys to have taken advantage of her like that.

Girl is guilty of nothing but underage drinking. She was violating no one's rights but the boys were violating HER RIGHTS.

What was the girl thinking while going to a party in the first place?
Didn't she thought about what could happen if she went alone to such party?
With her friends OK, but this case has more to be investigated.

I agree that the girl should have been more cautious beforehand. But that does not take away the blame off the two boys.

CNN took an interesting angle on the Stuebenville rape verdict. They focused on the convicted rapists, and their lost potential. They may have to do a WHOLE YEAR in prison, just because they and some of their buddies drugged and repeatedly raped a 16-year-old girl, then dumped her in a yard and urinated on her. (Had they been tried as adults, they would have gotten 5-12 years, which also isn't nearly enough, but I digress.)
You'll notice how little they actually mention the victim. Sigh.
