For those of you tracking, you already know that the Hyuuga and the Byakugan embody Taoism. Those of you who were just confused... you've not been tracking with the rest of us.
For those who need a bit of a refresher - there are three main 'internal' martial arts styles developed around Taoist teachings.
T'ai chi ch'uan forms the basis for the abilities of the Gentle Fist - the idea that a small application of chakra/energy can disrupt and/or enhance the flow of energy within yourself or another person.
Baguazhang forms the actual Gentle Fist fighting style - the concept of circular motions and drawing inspiration from the I Ching:
Xingyiquan forms the basis for the Gentle Step, and has been largely unseen within the Hyuuga. Xingyiquan
Xingyiquan is believed to have been developed largely from army spear tactics. The focus is on sharp, abrupt, powerful and linear motions that work well in standard combat lines. The key give-away, here, is that Xingyiquan draws names and inspiration from animals - with various strikes being named after an animal.
Thus, what to expect the coming renditions of the Gentle Fist style:

And of the Twin Lion Fist, itself?
