Rl turtles? Well i know they're slow reptiles (not as slow as people make them out to be because I've seen some quick little turtles. Lol) that have a natural defensive system, which is their shell. Interestingly enough, the shells are "bony or cartilaginous" and grows from their ribs to surround majority of their body. I never knew it came from their ribs, which could be a basis of a few defensive techniques.

Narutoverse turtles don't have much information, seeing as in total only two were shown and only one was actually from the contract. One was the red turtle that scolded Lee, while the other was the turtle island. These two communicated with one another, but are clearly a different species altogether seeing as the contract turtle said he had never seen such a turtle even though the island was still a "baby"

I wanted the contact personally because it's a pretty dope reptile which to my knowledge no one has signed on this site outside of people who used a Gai bio. I wanted a very chill species that also had atleast a little potential to work with. Which brought me to turtles. I just think i can do better with summoning customs for turtles than i can with others, and I'm simply interested in working with the comtract.

As the ninja looks down, suddenly Guy bursts out of nowhere with his right leg extended and his left leg tucked in.

DYNAMIC ENTRYYYYYYYYYYY!

After striking the man, Guy spins and stand up fully, one hand behind his back, the other pointing at himself.

It's Konoha's Sublime Blue Beast, Might Guy! You fell for my ploy! And now, it's time to defeat youuu.....who are you? You look familiar....

Shaking the thought from his head, Guy begins rushing forward when a burst of smoke appears and Ningame steps out, forehead protector around his leg.

Guy! You told him to meet you here to learn about turtles!

Ah yes, I can see his youthful spirit. So! You want to learn about turtles, eh?

After being randomly kicked in the face, Shunsui rubs his face for a while and tries to put a stop to his bloodied nose.

"Well that hurt."

As he says this he looks over and sees a large red and yellow turtle, talking to a man in a green sweat suit of some sort. Pretty fashionable in a way. After over hearing them, Shunsui smiles at the man and waves lightly.

"Haha. Yup. I came here to sign the turtle contract.... Hold on. Is that some super dynamic turtle outfit for extreme turtle training?!!!!"

"Ah, this thing! Why, it's the You can buy one for only 3 easy payments of 99.99 Ryo! We'll talk bout this later.

That being said, let's explain these beautiful creatures some more! ( this is to help with custom creating ideas ofc )"

Some key things to take into account are:

- Eyesight

Most turtles that spend most of their lives on land have their eyes looking down at objects in front of them. Some aquatic turtles, such as snapping turtles and soft-shelled turtles, have eyes closer to the top of the head. Near their eyes, sea turtles possess glands that produce salty tears that rid their body of excess salt taken in from the water they drink.

Turtles are thought to have exceptional night vision due to the unusually large number of rod cells in their retinas. Some land turtles have very poor pursuit movement abilities, which are normally found only in predators that hunt quick-moving prey, but carnivorous turtles are able to move their heads quickly to snap.

-Movement

Terrestrial tortoises have short, sturdy feet. Tortoises are famous for moving slowly, in part because of their heavy, cumbersome shells, which restrict stride length. Amphibious turtles normally have limbs similar to those of tortoises, except the feet are webbed and often have long claws. These turtles swim using all four feet in a way similar to the dog paddle, with the feet on the left and right side of the body alternately providing thrust. Large turtles tend to swim less than smaller ones, and the very big species, such as alligator snapping turtles, hardly swim at all, preferring to walk along the bottom of the river or lake. As well as webbed feet, turtles have very long claws, used to help them clamber onto riverbanks and floating logs upon which they bask. Male turtles tend to have particularly long claws, and these appear to be used to stimulate the female while mating. While most turtles have webbed feet, some, such as the pig-nosed turtle, have true flippers, with the digits being fused into paddles and the claws being relatively small.

Sea turtles are almost entirely aquatic and have flippers instead of feet. Sea turtles fly through the water, using the up-and-down motion of the front flippers to generate thrust; the back feet are not used for propulsion, but may be used as rudders for steering. Compared with freshwater turtles, sea turtles have very limited mobility on land, and apart from the dash from the nest to the sea as hatchlings, male sea turtles normally never leave the sea.

- The shell

For this, I wont post information because there is a LOT of information regarding the shell, some valuable for customs, others not. But either way, I think it is worth the research. I did a lot of research into Sharks and my summonings show for it, so I recommend it for you as well. o.-

Shunsui reads through what information Gai had on turtles and was surprised by some of it. Particularly the ability to see in the night or the difference between the eyes of turtles who's dominate dwelling area is water opposed to ones who stay on land.

"Ahh, these things should come in handy. ^_^"

As Shunsui recieves the go ahead to sign, he pricks his finger with his canines in order to draw blood to put to use. Once his thumb let out enough blood, he signed his name on the contract and gave Sensei a distinct look.

Lmfaooo. I remember Master of Disguise.

Anyway, there is only one turtle canonically.

Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Ningame ) - Summoning Technique: Ninja Tortoise
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: He is a very large tortoise. His shell is red with a yellow underside and swirls on the top with markings around his eyes which are also yellow. He wears a Konoha forehead protector around his neck and an orange bandage on his right front leg. He can use Basic strong fist taijutsu up to D - rank but his shell can protect him from Techniques up to A-rank within reason, however, his flesh is vulnerable and has no damage resistance.
Note: can only be summoned once

He's a bit of a tank, as you can see. Analyze it please

Ok this is an average summon.

He is C-rank so doesn't take much chakra at al. He can only use D-rank and below Tai, which I'm sure he's pretty mediocre at since his slowness and shell should hinder hiz movements. Other than that, he can tank an impressive amount of power, up to A-rank. But this is only with the shell, leaving his skin and so forth a vulnerability

Welp, that's kinda it. ._.

Also, despite you naming the thread Turtles and us saying turtles here, there is a big different between the Canon contract of Tortoises and Turtles. Axle has Turtles, we have tortoises. While similar, there are enough differences to be classed as different animals. Example, Tortoises are mostly land animals, Hence the term sea turtles, so keep this in mind while making customs.
