Tuareg

Tuareg is home to a small number of communities, organized in permanent camps that all lie in the vicinity of a large mountain. A crude arena has been cut into the very rock near the base of the mountain there, and four great pillars placed before it. The denizens collect water from an aquifer in the mountain and sustain themselves by serving as middle stations for those ferrying sandstone or other materials across the dunes. The mountain's face was struck by several shards from the moon's destruction, but Tuareg still stands, offering shelter and succor to weary travelers.

After stopping to have a quick meal at one of the outer communities stationed furthest from the base of the large mountain known to help sustain the communities of Tuareg, Roo marches on one territory away from his goal.

Taking an opposing route around the main mountain, Roo dashes through Tuareg with a treasure on his body. Interacting with no one the pirate keeps his demeanor and keeps track.

Almost back, Geets keeps truckin along when he gets word back from Sado..

There was a long silence between everyone in the room as Sado thought of what to do about his lands. Then. Bzzzz. Bzzz. A message from Vegeta detailing everything. Sado sent back a message that detailed everything that had happened up until this point with Takinomori and himself. Sado went ahead and explained everything to Fu and Korra about what Vegeta had been up to keep everyone in the loop about the world around them.
Geets reads it and then quickly deletes the messages..

Moving through to the next area of land, Kazumi would once again go through the local villages and proclaim that these lands were now under her protection. She would help them erect the symbol of her clan over their gates to allow everyone to know that this was Mishima territory.

Claiming Landmark.

Came from: https://animebase.me/threads/urin-089.755907/post-21975939

Arriving at her destination – she took a moment to breathe after the travels through the jungles of Urin. Making landfall into the next location – she furthered her pursuit into the southern part of the landscape, coming closer to the mountain in question. However thanks to her enhanced sense of hearing, she would able to make out some sounds from the distance. Slowly she approached the source of the sound, only to find a rather freakish form of humanity within her sights. Immediately looking back at her files, she realized this was her target. “Oui! I heard you were causing some problems for my Kage. I’m afraid I cant let you walk out of here with that head on your shoulder…” she said.

She would take the first step into making sure her capture was secured; allowed for an illusion to occur. This illusion in nature was simplistic – keeping her target paralyzed in place. She would return her spear into its tangible form as she gripped the shaft and started to twirl it. She would reform the blade into that of a bisento’s own. She then unleashed a powerful swing, unleashing a directional shockwave towards him.

Let’s dance ugly…” she said as her eyes shifted into the falcon’s eye.

( Genjutsu: Shibari ) - Illusionary Arts: Binding
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C – A (A)
Range: Short (Mid)
Chakra Cost: 15 - 30
Damage: N/A
Description: A very simple yet powerful paralysis genjutsu. The user will cast an illusion which sole purpose is to restrict and paralyze he target. The technique can be cast on more than one opponent at a time, though with the cost of power. The stronger the user is in genjutsu determines how strong their technique is. Non-genjutsu specialists can only cast only use the C-ranked version of this technique and use it on up to two others making the hold D-rank for each individual person. Users with genjutsu as their secondary specialty can use the B-ranked version of this technique and cast the jutsu on a maximum of three people. Users with genjutsu as their primary specialty can use the A-ranked version of this technique and cast the technique on a maximum of three people. Members who specialize in genjutsu are immune to this technique being placed upon them on others with a lower skill level than them; i.e a users with a secondary specialty can't use this on a primary specialist, only those of equivalent rank or lower can be caught with this technique.
[Yari no Michi | Dai 5 no fōmu Shōgeki] - The Way of the Bisento: Fifth form, Shock
Type: Offensive/ Defensive/ Supplementary
Rank: A-Rank
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: This is a jutsu based on using pure force alone to create devastating attacks. In this way the user will use their bisento as an extension of their own body swinging it as though it was an extra or extended limb. Using their chakra the user will swing the spear weapon using the momentum and range of it to their advantage, enhanced by their chakra for devastating strikes. What makes this unique is, the bisento will be swung with such force that it will release a directional, visible shock wave of sorts that is just to result of the motion, similar to the leaf dragon god technique playing on terms with any elemental attack. This wave will contain no chakra though, the chakra is within the users body to give them the strength to swing the bisento with such force.

Note: Can be used once every two turns, up to 5 times per battle
(Chikai no Kiipaa) Oath Keeper
Type: Custom Weapon
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: Oath Keeper is relatively newly forged spear. It was named in remembrance of Mirabelle’s love for her people and all those who influenced her in life and her oath to always protect them. The shaft of the spear is decorated in a milky silver metal; accompanied by a white colored blade. It’s weight is rather light but it’s durability speaks volumes – as it unbreakable by any means. This however doesn’t mean that it alone can stopped ranked techniques but it can easily slice through free formed weaponry and hand to hand combat. The basic framework of it’s abilities come in the combination of Fuinjutsu and Yin Release. It’s abilities are known as “Oaths” respectively.

Oath of the Calling: This is the most “basic” of the weapon’s ability; in which it takes the aspect of “Yin Release: Hand’s of Sloths” ability. This allows the blade to be summoned into existence from within a spiritual state of existence into a tangible one or vice versa. This is relatively useful as she can choice when to summon the weapon into her hand when actually needed; as in most cases will be simply traveling dead weight. In it’s spiritual form it is intangible and cannot be interacted with – floating around the user aimlessly though other Yin specialists are able to see it or Sage Mode users being able to sense it. This ability is C ranked, being passive by nature due to it’s pure simplistic nature though because it is Yin based, the ability uses 30 chakra to use each time to switch forms. In the event the user is knocked unconscious while it’s in tangible form, the spear automatically reverts back into it’s spiritual form. In addition to the this, the blade levitates around the user in which she can guide it with hand gestures to be used in conjunction with Oath to Strike.

Oath of Empowerment: Another ability programed into the spear is a seal with the inscription of empowerment. It’s main ability is due to the user’s constant sealing of Yin chakra into the spear – it gained generous amount within it. This chakra is then leaked back into the user’s body over time from the seal in order to empower their Genjutsu abilities. This translates to the user gaining an increase in rank towards all their genjutsu by +1 Rank up to A rank though S ranks will simply gain a +20 point increase in damage if offensive whereas non damaging ones aren’t affected (However this can only be applied once per turn and goes into a usage cool down of two turns making Oath of Empowerment unusable in that time). This increases the chakra amount spent in genjutsu to be increased by +20 additional if the ability is applied though it doesn’t add into the overall effectiveness of the illusion. This ability is passive and doesn’t require a move slot.

Oath to Strike: The last and final ability of the spear – this ability simply allows for the spear in itself to be used as a conduit in order to perform kenjutsu, spear, or any other weapon technique. This is done by the spear being able to apply a similar effect of “Change of Heaven” to itself and remold it’s blade into the needed weapon’s form. In terms of techniques used through the spear released as a projectile, it passively becomes Yin natured instead of normal raw chakra but in order to do so will cost it an additional +30 included in the original technique’s chakra cost. This only applies to chakra based techniques (kenjutsu/weapon based projectile techniques lacking an elemental nature such Crimson Slicing Wave and can only be used twice per turn and having a cool down of two turns after use causing Oath to Strike to be unusable).

This spear can only be wielded by Mirabelle and those who she allows. Others who wish to use the spear will require to know Yin Release and Fuinjutsu while also having “Yin Release Specialist” and any other genjutsu related a specialty in order to use. Those lacking in those areas who try to make contact with the spear will have their chakra drained at a rate of -50 per turn.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Travelling through the desert had been rough, as it always was, but having been used to the heat for months now, both Shiro and Azuma managed with the unkind weather just fine. Furthermore, it turned out this was a travel path Shiro was familiar with, what with her family having lived up East in the Lightning Mountains. All of this said though, the duo would be lying if they said they weren't relieved to see a town's gates on their horizon.

Holy shit! Civilization, how I've missed you!

This was, of course, ironic, coming from a boy who'd willingly chosen to live in the desert, but hey, teenagers are weird. Shiro was equally happy at the prospect of a proper bed to sleep in, although she was quieter about it as the redhead tended to be. Azuma was the first to speak, exclaiming energetically at the sight, which lay just upon the outer fringes of the wasteland which was now turning into a more mountainous, lightly forested area.

"Shiro! Shiro! Look! A town! Oh God, they probably have an inn too-"

Sighing at the rather immature sight, Shiro playfully jabbed the boy with the hilt of her Katana, causing him to clutch his side and groan. Azuma had often forgotten that the redhead was quite fiery; they'd just been so serious, and often emotional, with each other lately that they'd not had the opportunity to remember how easily they butted heads. Shiro's next statement identified this dynamic perfectly.

"Azuma, you are unsightly; it is embarrassing."

Still clutching his side, the boy in question rolled his eyes casually, fully aware that the girl wasn't all too bothered in reality. He offered an answer to her sophisticated tone in the form of a sarcastic rebuttal.
It's what I'm best at.

"Oh of course princess, how could I ever make such a fool of myself. And if you didn't notice; you dropped the contractions again."

Now it was the redhead's turn to roll her eyes, this time letting out another audible sigh. Despite this though, she shot the boy a coy look before surprising him with her words.

"Hey, you have to earn the sensitive side when you're dealing with me; you know that."

She completed the gesture with a wink, earning an unlikely but furious blush from the green-haired Uchiha.

Was she ALWAYS this sarcastic? Hell, I must be rubbing off on her.

That he was.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
They soon passed through the threshold into the town; the place was quaint, largely made up of buildings built in a traditional style with bamboo and oak wood as materials. Within his own view, Azuma could see what looked like an inn, a pub, a few houses, and a number of buildings for which he couldn't discern a use. All of this was in order; what was quite off was the fact that despite it being mid-day, nobody was out and about.

There wasn't even a guard at the gates... this is weird. Really weird.

It appeared that Shiro had noticed the oddity as well, with Azuma noting that her right hand had dropped to her scabbard, a sure sign that she sensed something was wrong. Then, the silence was shattered by an ear-piercing scream, clearly belonging to a young girl. After shooting a glance in each other's direction and locking eyes as if to confirm their course of action, the teens darted down the dirt road through the town and around a corner to see what looked like the mangled body of a little girl.

Azuma paled, his eyes widening and his gaze remaining stalwart, horrified at what he saw.

Her stomach was torn open, and her intestines dangled from the mouth of some... creature. It was enormous, red, and had horns like a bull's with a body like an ogre out of some old myth. Not having yet noticed him and Shiro, the beast grumbled happily, patting its belly as if it had just finished a hard-earned meal.

...By the looks of it, it's done just that.

Then, the worst happened. The little girl let out a weak cry, clearly on her last lifeline, what with her innards being strewn all over the street. Azuma's heart dropped into his stomach as he saw the ogre look down upon the girl, tears in her eyes as she wailed for her mother. Shiro was frozen in place much like he was, unsure of what to do and fully aware that this being was deadly.

The ogre then spoke in a meaty, chortling voice, as if mocking the little girl's plight.

"Kukuku... a fine sacrifice. Your innards were tasty! But, your wailing is annoying me, so-"

I have to move...

The ogre smashed his ginormous foot onto the girl's body, crushing her now-corpse and splattering it all across the street.

"-you have to die."

WHY CAN'T I FUCKING MOVE!?

At that sight, Shiro couldn't take it anymore. With a cry of anguish, hatred, and bona fide anger, she drew her sword, swinging it as its blade extended into a massive, 15-foot-long chakra Katana aimed straight at the beast's head.

This earned an intrigued glance from the ogre, who just now had noticed the two teenagers were standing there. Azuma, meanwhile, was still glued in place, whether through fear or some other emotion. Then, he watched, horrified, as the behemoth raised a palm to block the sword while muffling a yawn with his other. The chakra-enhanced sword made contact with the beast, only to make no headway, stopping in place. A tone of ire replaced the playfully sadistic one from earlier as the ogre chastised Shiro's attack.

"Oh dear... you'll have to do better than that if you'd like to play hero, little girl. Still, you obviously have some fight in you so by all means, attack me one more time. I warn you though... it won't be a free shot."

Azuma, hearing this, again, tried to move his body but to no avail. It was as if his brain had indicted him on some sort of law forbidding him from so much as flinching. The redhead, however, acted differently.

Blinded by anger and completely ignoring the boy to her left, Shiro withdrew her blade and quickly retracted its extended chakra form, instead opting to coat her sword in a blue light which enhanced its power significantly. She had been trained to fight in situations without considering her allies, as if only the enemy existed, and that was exactly what she was going to do.

Darting forwards, she leapt towards the 15-foot tall giant's form and struck out with a lethal slash aimed at it's throat. With a flicker of steel, the blade left a line across the being's neck, surely about to burst forwards with blood. Shiro even allowed herself a grin as she relished in her ability to strike down such a foe.

The girl's violent excitement was soon cut short when she was swatted aside like a fly. Scratching its neck, the beast sighed with discontent, as if disappointed at the results of the brief confrontation.

"Pity that... I always hope for more than they can give. How about you, boy? Anything else to offer? I sure hope s-"

The red, muscled, devil of a creature was quickly silenced by a ball of lightning being thrust into it's chest, prior to exploding outwards, knocking the beast back several feet and causing it to slide backwards as steam rose up from its now slightly charred body. Where the behemoth had just stood now stood Azuma, right arm extended, eyes red with the force of his Sharingan. His voice resounded with pure fury, as if he'd finally gathered the resolve to fight back, perhaps having now processed everything that had just happened.

(Raiton: Sanda Appu) – Lightning Release: Thunder Up
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user concentrates a lot of lightning chakra into their hand, compressing it into a ball of lightning energy. The user can then hurl it at the enemy or trust it forward in a melee attack. Once the ball hits the target, it expands into a massive lightning explosion.

( Doujutsu: Sharingan ) Eye Technique: Copy Wheel Eye
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C - A Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 - 30 ( -5 per turn for 1T and 2T, 10 per turn to keep active for 3T )
Damage: N/A
Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill
Note: C rank usage is for 1T Sharingan, B rank usage is reserved for 2T Sharingan. A Rank usage is reserved for 3T Sharingan.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty
Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG.

His eyes went to Shiro's limp, albeit still alive body crumpled against the side of a nearby building.

Nobody touches you. Not one person. Not one demon. Nobody.

Azuma then turned his gaze to the devil, speaking with as little respect as he could muster.

"I'm sure there's a whole litany of excuses you have lined up to explain why you were eating a little girl and why this town's dead silent... unfortunately for you, I don't give a damn. You're dying, right now."

Instead of offering a direct answer, the since-attacked silent demon shifted its gaze upwards to meet with Azuma's eyes. The beasts eyes were a piercing yellow, lacking in any semblance of humanity as it spoke.

"...Boy, how old are you?"

Azuma scoffed.

"Excuse me?"

The beast grunted and rolled its eyes, tired of the boy already.

"I asked how old you were."

After pondering the question for a moment, the green-haired Uchiha chose to humor the beast.

"Fifteen. Sixteen in December."

The devil shook its head as a dark laughter overcame it.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... lovely, lovely!"

Now it was Azuma's turn to be confused again. His eyes, narrowing, he asked a question of his own.

"What's so funny, demon?"

Finally bringing it's whole body up from the smoldering spot in which it stood, the devil looked at Azuma, eye to eye, and spoke in a menacing, jovially sinister tone.

"My name is Kohitogui, Oni of Tuareg. I have many other names, but my most popular epithet is 'Child-Eater'... and you're just young enough to call my dinner."

With that, the beast let out a scream as if channeling some sort of immense energy before becoming enveloped by a cloak made up of a chakra that Azuma's Sharingan had never encountered before. Upon the buildup's end, the once-red devil was surrounded by a white cloak and four black orbs which floated ominously behind it. Every hair on Azuma's body raised at this sight. Despite this, he wouldn't let fear get to him. Not this time.

(Yoton Modo) - Yang State
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 200 (-50 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Based on Hagoromo's Six Paths Sage Mode, those who have completed Yang can enter this mode to elevate their prowess but only in their spiritual or physical capabilities. The lack of the Juubi’s monstrous chakra and natural energy makes it impossible for proper balance of both Yin and Yang natures simultaneously at such a high level. When entering this mode, users first gather their five basic nature chakras and their Yin and Yang natures. They then manipulate the ratio of their Yin to Yang chakra such that one nature almost completely overshadows the other, done almost instantly and effortlessly. The result causes the user to enter one Yang State. Yang State is the state entered by users when they emphasize their Yang chakra over their Yin chakra. In this state the user is endowed with a white and black jumpsuit akin to the one Bruce Lee donned in the “Tower of Death.” Their hair and sclera become white as well and their hands gain pure white, fingerless gloves with black magatama on the back. Along with the 4 Truth-Seeking Orbs, the user will gain a pair of white nunchaku consisting of the same energy and ability of the orbs. The main attribute that users in this state gain is Tian. Tian refers to a physical power beyond the scope of the earthly mortal. While in this state, the user’s ability to track and react to movements and actions is near limitless. Gaining a tracking capability on par with the Eighth Gate, the user's speed increases by x6 as well. Almost all physical damage is all but negligible to a user in this state, tanking S rank damage from any clash. The only possible way to cause physical harm to a user in this state would be for them to use Yang Release or Forbidden ranked techniques, or techniques that exceed the damage of 7th Gate and beyond. The effects of these Jutsu, while not dealing physical damage, will still apply such as fatigue, paralysis, etc. The drawback to this technique is that, due to the massive imbalance of Yang chakra, Yin Release and other spiritual techniques are impossible to use whilst in this state.
Note: This technique only last 6 turns and can be used only once per battle.
Note: One must have completed Yang Release in order to use this technique. The user can only use either Yin or Yang State on any bio.
Note: Once the technique ends the user’s spiritual or physical chakra is drained to the barest minimum for their survival, thus making them incapable of using Yin, Yang, or Yin-Yang Release techniques for 10 turns and incapable of using taijutsu for 5 turns (this includes releasing leg weights and physically augmenting techniques).
Note: Likewise, users are unable to use techniques above A-rank for 4 turns.

Azuma sighed, albeit prepared to murder the ever living shit out of the beast in front of him.

And all we wanted was a real bed. Shiro, if we live through this, I'm dropping the sarcasm and telling you how I feel outright. I promise.

With a glance in his partner's direction, Azuma drew his sword and readied himself for a battle.

[CONTINUED FROM ABOVE]

I'll need to play this smart.... he's definitely stronger than me, and I'm not sure what that aura does.

Azuma struck first and he struck fast. Darting along the ground much like Shiro had, sans the leap, the boy rushed in the direction of the Oni. However, upon reaching the beast's right leg (which Azuma was about the size of in his entirety), he spun over his right shoulder, feinting the first attack and following it up with a spinning lateral downwards slash aimed to sever the beast's ankle.

While the blade did make contact, if Shiro had been unable to penetrate the devil's skin before, then it was immediately clear Azuma wouldn't be able to do the same thing. His eyes, while trained on the beast, observed the flow of chakra through the white cloak the thing wore, and despite it being largely foreign to him, he was at least able to discern it was created via the imbalancing of the Yin-Yang energy in the Oni's body. The result was an unbelievably condensed layer of chakra above the beasts's skin, giving him the appearance he now had and clearly, some sort of nigh-invulnerability.

Then, out of the corner of his eye, Azuma was just barely able to register the flicker of a fist headed downwards towards his chest. Furthermore, it felt almost as if he was being pulled inwards towards the fist. Only just managing to kick himself slightly backwards, the punch lifted him off of his feet as he coughed up blood, sent flying backwards. Landing about ten feet away, Azuma managed to regain his footing as the sanguine liquid dripped from his mouth. He wiped his face with his sleeve and spit, groaning in pain.

He hits like a truck, and fast as hell too. If I can't hurt him, that'll be a problem.

Clearly amused by the boy's failure, the Oni chortled as he had before, beginning to move towards Azuma as he spoke.

"Boy, you're delirious if you think you can cut me. I'm invincible like this. Now, you've had your turn-"

In a blur of speed almost imperceptible even to Azuma's incredibly fast eyes, the Oni closed in on him with a rising left knee. Again he felt pulled in towards the attack, but frankly, it didn't feel like it mattered knowing that even if he'd not been dragged along, he wouldn't have been able to move fast enough to react. The knee made contact with the boy's chest a lifted him off of the ground, taking the wind out him. This attack was soon followed with a punch aimed at his face while he was still in the air. A sickening crack resounded through the area as the blow made impact, launching Azuma even further backwards where he landed on his back and slid for a few feet. His nose now gushing blood, he looked up at the sky and sighed, albeit painfully following the damage to his chest.

I'm completely outmatched. He's a physical behemoth; I can't even touch him, and on the off chance I do, I can't hurt him.

After a brief effort, Azuma managed to get himself to his feet. He was tough, but even so, a couple more beatings like that and he would be completely out of it. Staggering forwards, Azuma sheathed his sword and extended both his arms, open palmed and facing Kohitogui. His eyes met with the Oni, who, seeing his opponent's position, immediately knew an attack was coming.

Despite this, the beast didn't so much as flinch, only offering a disgruntled snort at the sight of the boy still standing.

Azuma would make him regret that confidence.

If I can't mark him with a sword, I'm just going to have to hit him with a blow harder than my arms can make...

For a brief second, a blue, crackling aura flickered around Azuma. Then, an instant later, a pair of tremendous, staticky blue waves of electricity shot forwards from his hands, engulfing nearly the whole width of the street and surely dwarfing even the Oni in their combined size.

(Raiton: Chidori Raimei) - Lightning Style: 1000 Birds Thunderstorm
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Descripton: The user will channel lightning chakra into his hand, covering it with a massive chidori. The user will then point his palm forwards, unleashing that chakra, creating a massive 120º blast of lightning that spreads from his hand, outwards and forward towards the enemy.

For a moment, the green-haired Uchiha let himself grin as the blasts appeared to engulf the demon.

Serves him right. Now, when I see his body, I need to be sure to be careful. He probably isn't dead after all-

Of course, this moment was cut short as the beast manifested a pair of pure white nunchaku, with which he swatted both blasts away in separate directions. Each wave was launched over the nearby rooftops and into the sides of the neighboring mountains, exploding in spectacular fashion, if not where Azuma had wanted them to do just that.

Great.

Instead of a grin, the boy now wore a grimace.

How the **** am I going to hurt him? I've heard people call themselves invulnerable before but I've KILLED those same people. This thing seems like it's actually immune to physical harm.

Again, a great chortle, one which Azuma was starting to hate, bellowed out from the demon. The beast whipped it's nunchaku around playfully as it spoke, again waltzing towards the boy as it did so.

"I've owned this town for 100 years, boy. Every week they've offered me a child to satisfy my hunger. Do you honestly think that I'd be so weak as to fall to a snot-nosed brat like you? I'm invulnerable, you fool. You would have to strike at my very soul to kill me, and such powerful abilities do not manifest in the bodies of children such as yourself. Fire, water, earth, wind, lightning; not one can harm me."

Azuma grunted, half from pain and half in disgust. This beast was shamelessly arrogant yet seemed to be able to back up everything it was saying. It was a terrifying prospect. Quickly, the green-haired boy ran through his options as he considered what little information he'd been able to discern thus far. Equally quickly, he came up with an idea. So, wordlessly, the boy closed his eyes, summoning a power he'd tapped into only once before, many years ago.

Magnus, this is your damned path we're walking along, so it seems fitting that I'm calling upon the ability you taught me.

In Azuma's brain, the older Uchiha's stern words of wisdom reverberated about the place. 'Heat the earth', he would say. 'Let it melt and metallicize in your mind as you raise it from the earth'.

He would do just that. Azuma's hands came together in a pair of swift handseals as he called upon a skill he'd acquired through the very thing he was searching for; family.

[Ekitaiinjiumu | Aulë] - Liquid Indium Release | Aulë
Rank: S
Type: Attack/Defense
Range: short - long
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: This is the basic application of Liquid Indium release where the user will gather Indium in the ground or create it from their own chakra (spitting it out ect) to form various basic formations of liquid Indium. This can be anything from weapons, to walls, to spikes, domes, waves, anything inanimate which they can use as projectiles as well. For example the user could create a kunai of liquid indium and launch it at their opponent, much like how the user can create fire around their body without hurting themselves or Mei can spit lava, the user can create a layer of chakra between the item or object created and themselves to stop them hurting themselves. The larger the object, the higher the rank. For objects larger, than the user they will need to be A rank. To use the A rank version it will require one handseal and for S rank the user will need to perform 2 handseals.

B rank and below liquid indium creations can be made or a single handseal. A rank can only be used once per turn. S rank can be used 3 times per battle, with two turns in between uses and no liquid indium above B rank in following turn.

A gargantuan column of a superheated silver-colored liquid erupted from the ground beneath Kohitogui, and despite the fact that the beast clearly wouldn't take any serious damage from it, heat of that level would still burn him. Burns that would cause tremendous, tremendous pain, seeing as the liquid indium would very quickly solidify all across the Oni's body.

"ARGHHHHHHHH!!!! YOU BRAT! I'LL DEVOUR YOU ALIVE FOR THIS!!!"

The white-clad beast was covered in a smattering of hardened metallic liquid, and steam was very quickly rising off of it's body. While was clear that again, Azuma had done little damage to his enemy, this time he had at least succeeded in HARMING the beast.

Little victories.

Still, the attack hadn't succeeded in trapping the beast like he'd hoped it would; instead it had simply angered him. Oh well. Azuma had little left in him, especially after using Liquid Indium; it was an ability he would not be able to call on again for a short while, certainly. Regardless, this time, the Oni didn't play games. He moved on Azuma like a wolf and struck him with the nunchaku, a blow which, while he'd expected it to hurt, felt like a sun had just been dragged across his body despite his most futile effort to raise his arms to block.

Again, he was sent flying, this time into the wall of a house which actually cracked at the impact. His head was spinning, locked in delirium as he struggled to regain his bearings. Azuma was flat on his ass, back against the cracked bamboo, as he opened his eyes, expecting to see the Oni once again move to strike him.

Instead, he saw something far more horrific. The beast had turned around to look at the body of Shiro, which still lay crumpled, unconscious.

"Boy."

The demon called out to him. Azuma couldn't even manage a response in his state.

Jesus, reduced to wordlessness, huh? That's not a common phenomenon, even for me.

Instead of awaiting an answer, the beast kept moving towards the redheaded samurai as he spoke again, now getting close enough to the point that he was getting worried.

"This girl... you've traveled into my town with her, and expect me to forgive her transgressions? Do you expect me to forgive yours?"

The piercing yellow eyes from before once again met with Azuma's, and in that moment, an idea flickered through his brain. With the eye contact locked and established, the demon continued to speak, his tone losing it's devilish playfulness, instead going for a more overtly menacing sound.

"I'll eat her first as you watch. Only then will I give you the sweet release of death. Let it never be said that anybody who crosses me can get away with it."

Again, Azuma's face remained stalwart and emotionless as blood seeped from the corner of his mouth. He couldn't give away his plan, not yet.

I get one shot. I have to act NOW.

With the demon's eyes still in view, Azuma gambled what could well have been the last of his stamina on a pair of illusions, first using his eye contact as a medium to cast then casting the second with a handseal soon afterwards. The second of the two was a common, albeit powerful technique in which the target was made to see feathers floating down slowly from the sky before they fall asleep soon afterwards; the first was one of Azuma's own invention, a creation of the Sharingan. Something of a wish fulfillment fantasy for the beast, if you would.

( Nehan Shōja no Jutsu ) - Temple of Nirvana Technique (Cast Second)
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A

( Doujutsu: Genjutsu Sharingan ) - Eye Technique: Copy Wheel Eye Illusion (Cast First)
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique is simply the use of generic genjutsu used by members of the Uchiha clan. By simply having their opponents look into their eyes, the Uchiha can lock the user within a genjutsu of their choosing.
Note: Can only be used with 3 tomoe sharingan

In Kohitogui's view, he had quickly proceeded to dismember the body of the girl in front of him, slowly nibbling on each limb and bit he tore off. The boy was screaming, something which brought him great joy. 'If only she'd been awake when I tore off her head', he thought jovially, wishing to have heard the sickening squelch of a child having its innards literally ripped apart from the outside.

In his arrogance, he noticed the feathers too late. Dropping the girl's mangled corpse, he looked around as a wave of overwhelming fatigue came over him. Now aware of what was going on, the beast flared his chakra, but to no avail; the illusion he now knew he was locked in was too powerful.

From Azuma's perspective, it was only just now that the beast had started moving, clearly making some sort of blind struggle to leave the illusion he'd inadvertently trapped himself in. A few moments later, the devil started striking himself in some effort to break the spell, but despite his best efforts, even HE could not break out of the illusion.

Then, finally, the beast stood rigid, prior to slumping over, trapped in a sleep he could not wake from.

It took a whole minute for Azuma to stagger to his feet, and in that minute, noise finally began to erupt throughout the town. Shut windows opened, and slowly but surely, people began to rear their heads, as if they'd been hiding from the events unfolding that day.

Despite this, Azuma couldn't even begin to care. He had two things on his mind now. The first was simple; kill the beast, who's white cloak had now faded in his slumber. The second was a tad more personal.

Shiro. I let her get hurt. Again.

Killing the Oni would be simpler than he'd anticipated. As he walked up to the creature, onlookers had slowly gathered around the soon-corpse, only to see the green-haired Uchiha stagger through the masses, pushing people aside as he re-drew his Katana. Then, without any ceremony, Azuma lowered his blade to demon's throat and summoned an aura of lightning around it, before finally cutting the beast's throat.

(Chō Biburāto Raitontō) - Super Vibrating Lightning Release Sword
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A (+40 to Kenjutsu/sword-related attacks)
Description: The user channels their lightning chakra into a blade, increasing its vibrating frequency and giving it more cutting power than standard wind techniques.

Even in the face of death, the effect of the genjutsu remained steady and the devil did not wake up, captured by the embrace of the force he so desperately adored.

First, overwhelming silence took over the square, as if this was a turn of events nobody had expected. Then, the crowd erupted in raucous applause, cheering on the boy who had slain the creature which had tormented their people for so long.

Shut it... I need to see Shiro.

As the noise eventually died down, in between reluctant handshakes given during his slow approach towards Shiro's body through the crowd (twenty feet seemed like an eternity), an incredibly old-looking man approached him. His Sharingan still instinctively active, Azuma could immediately tell that the man was long-lived for a reason.

He's a ninja, like me.

As Azuma opened his mouth to speak, he only could manage a cough. The man raised a hand, a soft smile gracing his features.

"Speak not, child... I saw what happened from my window, and I know you want to see the red-haired girl. I know you sense it as I do; she is alive. However, your injuries are far more grave."

Azuma raised his eyebrows, then shuddered as pain reverberated throughout his body. Again, he found not only that did not want to speak, but that he could not speak at all. As if sensing this discovery on the boy's part, the old man spoke again.

"You were struck by a Guodama; a Truth Seeking Orb. Such blows would kill most people. The fact you're even standing is impressive... that said, you may not yet have realized it but your internal wounds are severe enough that without treatment, you will die within the hour. Fortunately for you, I'm a medical ninja. The best the land has to offer."

Azuma's only reply was another cough, this time complimenting the gestured with a spray of blood from his mouth. Then, the green-haired boy managed a reluctant nod as the ninja approached him. With little fanfare, the man's hands began to emit a green light, first moving across the Uchiha's throat and upper chest. Within a few seconds, it felt as if a blockage he hadn't even been aware of was lifted.

Though he did not speak, he knew the ability had been returned to him.

Then, after the first burst of green light died out, the man summoned it once more, this time moving the light over his stomach and then all across his back. A variety of injuries Azuma had at least assumed he might have had soon healed; these included a shattered ribcage and a nearly ruptured kidney.

****... how am I even alive?

As he finished, the man nodded at Azuma, as if encouraging him to reach the girl he so desperately wanted to see. The boy, who would usually have been one for pleasantries, gave a nod of thanks before opening his mouth for the first time in a short while.

"Thank you, Jii-San."

The man simply nodded, before offering his own thanks.

"No, thank you, young man. Your efforts here aren't missed on us, I assure you. You will sleep free of charge anywhere you please, and will be treated as an honored guest; you know not the terror you've freed us from."

At that, the bearded old-timer offered the green-haired shinobi a wink, to which Azuma raised an eyebrow before continuing. Thus, finally, he was able to reach what he'd so desperately wanted to see again. Placing a hand on the bruised girl's shoulder, he shook her ever so slightly, aware that she was fully alive due to his Sharingan.

"Shiro... wake up."

After a brief few seconds spent shaking her lightly, the girl's eyes fluttered open, and soon after she sat up. Clearly she wasn't the worst for wear of the two, having only been knocked out due to the impact against the wall. Azuma imagined that she'd have put up just as good of a fight as he had had she been given the chance. Shiro then spoke, her eyes wide as she saw the crowd in the town square and the dried blood smattered across Azuma's slender form.

"Azuma? ...Did you kill that awful devil? The one which struck me down?"

He offered her a soft smile and spoke without any inhibition or sarcasm as he usually would have.

"Yeah. I nearly died doing it too. I'm... I'm sorry I didn't jump in first. I was frozen and just- yeah. I was a coward."

Shiro looked at the green-haired boy before punching him in the shoulder as she had earlier in the day.

"You don't look like a coward to me, Azuma. You look quite the opposite, actually, covered in all that blood. You need a bath... speaking of which, an inn; is there one available?"

Suppressing a blush at the surely unintended implications of mentioning a bath to him, Azuma could only let himself laugh at how frank the girl was in such a situation, and how quickly she'd moved on from the anger she'd possessed earlier.

I suppose she's just as used to death as I am. It scares me sometimes, knowing how desensitized we are.

Nodding, Azuma helped the girl back up to her feet as he spoke again.

"The people have offered us free lodging... apparently that creature tormented them for a century. Who knew?"

Shiro shrugged, used to the carnage associated with this lifestyle, hence her seemingly unfazed nature. Azuma, of course, had something different on his mind.

I promised myself something... I have to fulfill that promise now.

So he resolved to do just that. Tonight.
