The "catalyst" of the Genjutsu is the moon. The Shinju is simply a means to keep the people caught by it alive.

that's the second madara and tsunade... well... she's done and her eyes aren't in her face exactly if you actually take a minute to check it out.

yamato is the one with the 2nd madara inside him and no , yamato doesn't have the rinnegan , i think... because if you check it out , he's being pulled by the god tree as well , for some stupid reason , but ok.

I don't think it's possible to stop MT by pulling the wrappings away. I think the tree would simply replace them pretty quick.

I won't stop the "Mugen Tsukuyomi" as the catalyst for that is the moon. However it will keep them from being completely trapped within Madara's plan.
