At this point in time the Akatsuki were the most feared group in the shinobi world. So Im pretty sure that facing them would be the Top priority mission

It's not a bash thread ,but i just want to see your opinion on some of her decisions to assign missions.

She assinged a very important mission ( To rescue the Kazekage!) to 2 teams (8 people) not to mention Naruto and Sakura at this point weren't that strong and TenTen is useless

Why would she assign Asuma, Shikamaru and the 2 fodder chunnin to take on Akatsuki members! She already knows that Akatsuki can take out Kages and small nations yet she send 1 Jonin, 1 Smart Chunnin and 2 Meh Chunnin against them with basically NO BACKUP :nuts:

Then she send Team 10 + Kakashi which wasn't a bad idea, since Kakashi is strong and Shikamaru has already assesed the Hidan and Kakazu's abilities, but how hard would it have been to have some Jonins with them like Genma, Kurenai etc.

She put next to no struggle when Jiraiya told her that he was going to find Pain alone.

Haha dude I completely agree with you. Her decision making skills are beyond shit. Not to mention she would have sent anyone on a mission if they argued for more than 2 minutes. xD

first off, you are underestimating naruto and sakura at that point in time. especially considering the outcome of said mission. secondly, the village takes on a number of missions at a time and the other joinin had to go on these missions. also you are overestimating the verage joinin. most joinin are weaker than the main cast unless they are specifically made important by the story. also she sent gai, so. also genma is fodder and kurenai was pregnant. also she didn't want jiraiya to go, and there was not much she could do to stop him, hokage or not.

The only 2 ninja -at that point of time- from leaf that can take on Akatsuki members 1 vs 1 were Kakashi and Gai. They can't take every mission since they have other things to do.

The leaf never fully recovered after Orochimarus attack, she couldn't afford to put that many jounin on one assignment

It was an infiltration, for it to work only a small number could have been sent. Who else but Jiraiya would have made it in and gotten the information he got

Yes that was kishi excuse for making the main characters fight the akatsuki .

Its all happening to move the plot .If anything its kishi who is dumb and can't find better situations.

I agree with this, you all should look at the situations back then; limited number of capable shinobi in that time, the goal of missions she assigned them in...etc, and then judge. U_U

Tsunade as the hokage of the most important village. Everything that she has done came from kishi to progress the plot. So of course some things would be seen as bad in our eyes.

on most of those missions there were elite jounin it just didn't show them because theyre not main characters
the one where they tried to rescue sasuke was right after oro attacked and tsunade did have backup from the sand village help them
