But I rank tsunade higher then kisame in terms of abilities and overall ninja strength/capabilities

For those of u who disagree about the ranking higher because of just bad match up its simple really tech deidara could solo a bunch of ppl with nano bombs but does tht make him nesscarily stronger then everyone who don't have lighting no.....

Don't fool yourself, without Samehada he has a back up fighting style called "Large scale Suiton". An example is the one thousand feeding sharks, Great Shark Bullet, Exploding water colliding waves, and he could even use Mizu Bunshin to help him in this.

He's not as good without Samehada, but he's still an S-ranked criminal. You underestimate Kisame every chance you get.

He would still defeat Tsunade. He has the best suiton in the entire series in different scales and versatilaty; he was said to be having "super human strength" by Gai, he is one of the most durable people and overall; he is among the not just strongest; but skilled shinobis. Being half as strong at most is just a speculation; not to mention a half as strong Kisame would be enough to take down Tsunade.

Noooo i dont Kisame actually is in the top 5 of my favorite Naruto Characters . Kisame is a true swordsman who loses most of his unique powers when he is without his sword. Of course he has large Suitons and an enormous strength, but These can be countered pretty easy. The sword makes him much stronger in Close combat, he can drain chakra and regenrate himself plus he can move much faster when hes fused with Samehada. This combined makes him so strong but without it hes not S-rank in my opinion, but not weak either of course.
