That just depends on their usage. A few Zetsu's already transformed back to wood when they died, while the Zetsu that transformed to Kisame to simulate his death before A and Bee didn't transform back to wood but remained his shape. Just as in Kisame's case, Madara's clone was meant to fool them and simulate his defeat so he can do a surprising attack, while Hashirama's clone had the only sense to escape Obito's attack.

Why would you disagree with what Madara said? Didn't he say it was a Mokuton Bunshin? Why are you disagreeing with his statement, making it look like Madara lied? What's with you?

So you're saying that Madara magically teleported out of the Sand Coffin (Since you think that was the real Madara) despite being in a dead state? Despite Madara saying it was a clone?

People need to realize that none of Kimimaro's enemies were "Genin-level" as I'm seeing a lot of people writing him off as someone who was defeated by low ranking individuals. Naruto defeated a Chunin in the very first chapter of the manga, and Sasuke simultaneously beat down two Chunin early on in the manga (Demon Brothers). You also have Rock Lee schooling that very same Sasuke without too much difficulty. You also have baby Gaara massacring ANBU assassins and Part 1 Gaara killing Chunins without getting a spec of dust on him. SRA Gaara was on the verge of becoming Kazekage, so calling him Genin level is stupid.

Furthermore, people are underestimating Kimimaro's sickness. Its absolutely hypocritical and a blatant double standard that people keep saying "Tsunade was rusty" when she was bested by Kabuto, yet ignore the fact that Kabuto stated Kimimaro should not be able to move in his current state. Kabuto outright stated that Kimimaro was literally running on pure will-power alone. Kimimaro was described as Orochimaru's strongest servant, and Orochimaru outright stated that the Konoha Invasion would have went smoothly had Kimimaro been there. Add this to the fact that Kimimaro was Orochimaru's top desired body and I find it weird that people still believe Kimimaro to be some Genin-level chump.

Why would Orochimaru student defeat his teammate anyway when he can't even defeat Orochimaru. And Tsunade is an natural goddess, she is freaking invincible againsit people like Kimimaru, sure he has sharp bones and can shoot them, but what are bones when someone can reduce you to a pill of skin and bone dust in a matter or second, witch just one hit...not to mention she can disorientate his nervous system and let him kill himself.
