The only slug we've canonically seen summoned by Tsunade during the length of the Manga is Katsuyu.

However, it stands to reason that Tsunade did not become the Slug Princess from only being able to summon one slug. One would also think that if all Tsunade had in her arsenal was 1 slug that Katsuyu would have been killed long ago.

We know that Tsunade got the princess moniker from being the granddaughter of the first hokage and the grandniece of the second hokage. However, it would seem unlikely that she got the slug part from simply Katsuyu. After all Jiraiya was not the toad sage just because of Gamabunta and Orochimaru wasn't referred to a snake just because of Manda.

Four other slugs have appeared in the manga.

I won't argue that Tsunade can summon the six-tails as that would meet great disapproval (though I will add most people would've turned their nose up to the idea of Obito summoning the nine tails before Tobi was revealed to be Obito). And so far as we know, even if it weren't so unpopular as an idea the six tails has been sealed the vast majority of the time. Also controlling it would be another issue. Especially, given the boastful way in which the six-tails refers to itself. So we will agree for the sake of argument that Tsunade cannot summon the six tails. However, we will use the abilities of the six tails in combination with the abilities of Katsuyu to try and reason on what the other slugs may possibly be able to do.

The slug seen in chapter 4 is obviously smaller than Katsuyu but is still rather large.

[/SPOILER] Which would explain why Katsuyu seemingly comes out more often in times of crises. Given the defensive nature of Defensive nature of Katsuyu it may be possible that other such summons are not so defensive in nature but rather are offensive. Due to Sakura's appearance on the slug, it would seem that this slug was intended to be a summon.

The slug seen in chapter 153 with a young Tsunade is a bit larger than the child version of herself.

. Based on how we've seen Gamabunta and other toads grow to great sizes it is likely that this slug is likely much larger than it was at the time Tsunade was a child. Furthermore, we can tell it is different from Katsuyu and the slug from chapter 4 based on the pattern on it's back. Due to this slug being directly under Tsunade we can be pretty confident in saying that this is one of Tsunade's summons.

The final slug that will be mentioned is the tiny slug on chapter 162.

. At first glance this slug looks like a mini of the slug from chapter 4. But noting the difference of the bottom side of the slug we can determine that these slugs are indeed different. Which leaves three possibilities. Either the slug is a baby, it is a mini, or it is just a small slug. The latter seeming the most unlikely of all possible outcomes. Also due to its positioning, context clues point to this slug being a summoning.

Ok so let's say we all agree that Tsunade has the slugs as her summons. What abilities might they possess?
Now we are away that some slugs are indeed poisonous even in the real world. So it is possible that the 6 six tails here was releasing a toxin.

Which would fit with Shizune's ability. Of spitting poison covered needles and poison fog.

And it would fit with Tsunade being a master of poisons and antidotes.

The six tails posses an ability very similar to that of Katsuyu.

Based of the real life ability of slugs to spit up digestive acid.

Makes sense that she has more slugs than just Katsuya, but those slugs in the covers don't really count.

Good effort, but I think they're all just DenDen Mushi from One Piece.

Nice thread but i disagree. But we are made to know that katsuyu can split into uncountable pieces and in diff size e.g konoha invasion and in this manga size of summon is not something that is consistent even tail beast and chakra construct like susano and if there is other is other slug why is it that katsuyu is the only name we know so far everytime tsunade summon a slug they are called katsuyu? And if tsunade has those slug that can use that abilities why didn't she use those throughout the manga?

Katsuyu has only been needed on three occasions that we've seen. But apparently those close to Tsunade has seen her summon off screen. It would not make sense to use a smaller slug against Manda, nor do you have to be particularly offensive considering Gamabunta will be there. Against Pein it may be that Katsuyu's combination healing ability and sensing ability with Tsunade is what was necessary. The fact that she's only been summoned thrice and usually in a defensive capacity that would require healing can also mean that she fulfilled a specific niche.

I will not count those covers as proof, but I do agree with your thread. The title cannot be attained by simply summoning one slug.

i think now that she is bisected in half, we will get to see her other slugs and possibly her full power, and like what Tazilla said, her summoning an all out offensive slug when gamabunta was there to aid her wasn't relevant, it was a 2v1 orochimaru would eventually lose anyways.

I have to agree with that as well, I think the slugs are more of a 'Precurser' or 'Foreshadowing' of what was to become of the three. Sakura would be taken under Tsunade, Sasuke under Orochimaru, and Naruto under Jiraiya. Just because they were so early in the story doesn't mean that the Sannin were not thought up yet. :)
