I have to disagree... Orochimaru was considered for Hokage first, but was denied by the Third because he noticed his severe power lust... Hiruzen himself admitted Orochimaru was the most powerful of the three. Jiraiya was considered well into his 50's, and Tsunade's name wasn't even mentioned nor thought of until Jiraiya himself denied the position, let's be real.. Jiraiya wasn't the type of person to deal with such matters...


Tsunade is the MOST accomplished of her generation maybe. But then again... Orochimaru was only looking out for himself, and Jiraiya's life purpose was facilitating the Old Toad's prophecy. You have to put these into account.. As they had other life purposes.

My friend I'll have to disagree with you on some points. For one, Tsunade isnt the most accomppished of her generation.

1. Sure she helped change the way teams are made, but Orochimaru created a whole village. His name is also more renown than Tsunades. Also Orochimaru was said to be the standout in the group of Sannin. Manga facts. Remember he fought in par with the two of his old teammates while handicapped. Manga fact. That is also the reason he was taken under Hiruzen and Danzos wing.

2. Jiraiya didnt admit inferiority in combat. He admitted she'd be a better hokage. Thats because he is more of a vagabond. Always traveling and roaming around. He is also more selfish. As seen in his time with Naruto. Also the reason Tsunade almost killed him was because he peeked on her, not a combat situation. Keep in mind he kept up with her while drugged.

3. Also currently , Sakura is on the raod to surpassing her. She is more talented now than Tsunade was at her age. Manga fact. She mastered all of Tsunades techs at the age of 16/17. Only room for improvement.

She is talented but she isnt the best/strongest in her generation.

Yes, all three were still in the village when he was considered.. And it wouldn't have made any difference whether Tsunade was in the village or not, Orochimaru was Hiruzen's favorite and first & foremost choice... Tsunade is strong but she isn't as strong as Jiraya or Orochimaru. She has her byakugou but that means nothing in the face of sage mode. There is no discernible boost in strength when using byakugou, unless im mistaken, as opposed to Sage mode which grants a ridiculous boost in strength, speed, reflexes, available summons, etc. That byakugou also comes with a time limit. Jiraya en tandem with ma and pa offers a extended sage mode time. If she can't touch him or keep up with him she can't win. We saw the way she fights with her byakugou released. She is reckless. Jiraya dispite his rep is a brilliant fighter. She can't win against him. Not to mention orochimaru who is slick as a greased pig, Can regenerate fairly quickly, Is an expert genjutsu user, far stronger an more versatile summons. The slugs are mostly for communication and healing oro can attack on two fronts while tsunade is stuck with a single avenue of attacks. Honestly its just a waiting game when it comes to tsunade. Wait out byakugou and kill her...

minato is nowhere near being in sakumo generation. He taught sakumo's son. He didn't have his son til kakashi was essentially grown and he had naruto fairly young.
