The power of the mangekyo sharingan is Genjutsu, Amaterasu, Susanoo.
Ill try to explain how tsunade can do it.
Genjutsu:
Tsunade is the gratest medical Ninja in history and was able to heal Kakashi from TSUKUYOMI. she roved that she can deal with mental damage and since genjutsu is based on the mentality of the opponent, tsunade hould deal with it. it have to be mention that tsuandes chakra control is perfect cause she is a medical ninja and knows the anatomy of the humans. and since genjutsu manipulate the chakra in your brain and tsunades control is perfect, this is the next step to free herself from genjutsu. even sakura in part 1 managed to break genjutsu.
she has further the will of fire which is according to her MORE IMPORTANT than any powers from hashirama, the will allows you to stand even if you are at your llimit. like rock lee who stood up against gaara although he was unconscious. and if she activates her seal, her chakra will run through her bpdy ermanently in high amounts, her whole system will run and not allow genjutsu to manipulate it. even if itachi uses tsuuyomi, her seal is automatically healing her wounds.
Susanoo:
Susanoos weak point is the ground, if you attack from the ground, theu ser cant protect himself. Tsunade proved that she can destroy the entry ground with ONE hit.since the uchihas cant fly, this is their weakness. susanoo has not much mobility and if the ground gets crushed, the user will fall into the ground with his susanoo. further tsunade showed a gread speed and strength against susanoo. he fought with 5 susanoo but managed to get past the shared field of vision of madaras clones and his the huge susanoo with feets to the ground, dont forget she fought FIVE susanoos.
amaterasu:
The most dangerous here but tsunade can still counter to some extent.
first of, sasuke managed to run out itachis amaterasu, itachi hit sasuke after several seconds. tsunade however is truly fast since she fought 5 susanoos at once and managed to hit them. she could keep up with a and km naruto too. she fought on pair with a against naruto. she cant be underestimated. further her seal heals her from any wounds. amaterasu can not be deleted but tsunade can still keep up her regeneration and fight to pressurize her opponent. if only a part of her body is affected, she can cut it of. her healing abilitys will heal the wound from the body part she has cut off and maybe even regenerate it. madara compared her seal with hashiramas best medical technique. we have to consider that madara first said that hashiramas medical skills were on such a high level, that even tunade is nothing compared with and then suddenly tsunade used a medical technique on pair with hashirama.
