\Hashirama is a Senjutsu user as is the three mentioned, Sarutobi doesn't use Senjutsu even though the manga generally states he atleast knows about it. His pupils all have hidden Surnames that we dont even know about minus the fact Tsunade is the 1st granddaughter in which still tells us nothing, not knowing if it was her mother/father she got her surname from, but we infer based on the facts of the manga. Hidden Surname to protect ones self from scrutiny, Surname has to house power only one surname is worth being hidden so deeply, SENJU

Didn't make it up just used the facts to persue a connection between why the sannin's surname's are hidden and the rest of the Narutoverse's aren't. Think about it deeply sage mode senjutsu. Senju picked Sarutobi, Sarutobi picked Senju. In fact Tobi picked Sarutobi and he had to know he would train or was training his clansman. Meaning that he would pick a senju. Orochimaru. As for Kabuto he had to use Oro dna to achieve sage mode.

Only Tsunade is a Senju do not confuse Sage powers with Senju they are two different things. Orochimaru and Jiraiya came from ordinary families,Their just extraordinary Ninjas that all.
