Hello Naruto fans! I've read a lot of Narutobase threads, and one thing I never understood is why a simple, effective counter was never given for Tsukuyomi: A shadow clone. The sharingan can't distinguish a shadow clone and Genjutsu has no effect on a shadow clone as seen in the manga. If Itachi were to use tsukuyomi on a shadow clone it would be ineffective, he would suffer a backlash, and drain about half of his chakra. Also, I think Itachi can only perform Tsukuyomi twice. During his fight with Naruto and Kakashi in the beginning of Part 2 Itachi told Naruto, "Don't worry I'm not going to use the Mangekyo Sharingan...or I should say I can't use it right now." After the fight Kisame stated since they only had 30% of their chakra they couldn't use their more powerful techniques. This means Itachi's tsukuyomi takes up more than 30% of his chakra which already limits him to two shots max. Although I don't think itachi would use it a second time if the first time fails as it would almost entirely deplete him. What do you guys think?
