1st of all KA never "broke" edo tensei, it just took control of Itachi, so the edo tensei user couldn't control him until his job would be done.

Tbh, I have to completely disagree with your overall statement. Tsukuyomi can in no way even compare one bit to KA. KA is by far much more useful than tsukuyomi.

Now your example is quite slim. A war, a battlefield, the winner is not the one with better jutsu, it is the one with better information. KA is not a battle technique. It is made for espionage. You can take control over an enemy, order him to obtain, whatever information from his village without being discovered, and make him bring the information to you. Say, if it was used on a highly ranked shinobi, even a kage, it could be of immense usefulness, not only to the owner but to all his allies. Like knowing your enemies strategy for attacking your village. Obtaining such information, can lead to total victory. Then the effects of tsukuyomi in the actual battle is 1 on a 1000 scale compared to KA (being 1000). U_U

KA is more powerful, I already said that. Tsukiyomi is better practically. No matter what, if you hit KA or Tsukiyomi on someone, you win the fight. Occasionally you have a need for KA like mind manipulation. But in most cases in a battle, most people would want to be able to hit their genjutsu without waiting 10 years(barring senju DNA).

No. You probably didn't read what I wrote thoroughly. What can be accomplished with KA is beyond imagination. That is why, it has such a high recharging time. In most cases, you would rather want KA, since it's possibilities is unlimited. In actual battle tsukuyomi is pretty useless, unless you mean a situation with only a few people, but if we are talking war, which is the best way to rate a jutsu against another (this is also why byakugan is superior to sharingan).

Practically you could use KA on someone that is your ally. Say Konoha and Suna were allied before Oros plot. Had Shisui used KA on a person in Suna, say one of their elders or just any of the people around their "round table", he could have used it beforehand with a commando like:
"If they ever plan to betray our alliance, you will tell me". This could have prevented a lot of things, and it would last forever (unless the caster dies). This basically makes this jutsu capable of countering any worst case scenarios.

Now you try to compare them in an actual battle. Well chances you would have KA ready for that is pretty low in the first place, so it's a stupid comparison. But lets say in a war. KA can still take control over the strongest enemy. So I would still disagree. Even Kabuto couldn't break the jutsu. Also it appeared as a jutsu that couldn't be broken in a normal way, as with any other genjutsu.
