History:
Tsubasa's father's name was actually Li Syaoran as well, and his mother was Kinomoto Sakura. His father looked exactly like him. His father gave him his old sword when he was very young (5 yrs old). He sent him to another dimension. Here he met the dimensional witch, Ichihara Yuko. She sent him to the world of Clow, a place he was destined to reach, for only seven days. He reached a pool of underground water. There he saw a girl. She saw him as well. Her name was Princess Tsubasa, commonly known as Sakura. Her father was a man named Fugitaka, the king of Clow. She told him that they were in the sacred ruins where only royals were allowed, but it was okay if he was here. Soon, they became friends. Syaoran and Sakura's brother, Touya, fought a lot. After the seven days, he was summoned back to Yuko's dimension. He demanded to go back. But Yuko warned him it was only a one way trip. He accepted. A few years later, when Syaoran was 12, and Sakura was cleansing in the holy waters of the reservoir before her birthday, Syaoran visited the ruins. After a while in there, they were about to leave. A dimensional portal appeared. Syaoran thought it was Yuko, but it was actually an evil sorceror, Fei Wang Reed. Reed was not quite as powerful as Yuko, but he managed to reach through the portal and use his magic to bind Sakura with black threads. The holy water fought Reed's magic long enough for Syaoran to reach her, but he missed her hand by less than a centimetre. Syaoran was filled with anger, so he let it all out, and through that experience, he learned of his own power. He used his magic to return to Yuko. He asked her to turn back time. The price was that he would also turn back into a toddler. He accepted. He just wanted a second chance to save Sakura. However, when Yuko turned back time, Syaoran became a toddler, and another child appeared. Fei Wang Reed quickly appeared and took Syaoran. He tried to take the other child, but Yuko saved him. He took Syaoran back to his world, and he used magic to create a clone to follow what he wanted. He was after Syaoran's magic. Syaoran and Reed were both descendants of the great Clow Reed, a magician who could compete with Yuko. To make the clone more like the original, he took out one of Syaoran's eyes and put it into the clone. Syaoran's magic started to fade, but Reed restored it. He sealed the original Syaoran in a tube in an alternate Clow Country, and kept him in the ruins. He also kept Sakura in the ruins. He also cloned Sakura in much the same way. The clones were sent to a completely different world of Clow (yes, a third one). There, Sakura clone was the daughter of Clow Reed(the king), and Syaoran clone was the adopted son of Fugitaka. Soon, Sakura clone was drawn to the ruins. (btw, this is not the same ruins where the originals are stored) There, Syaoran clone follows her, as he is an architect. She is put in a trance when she sees a symbol on a wall of the ruin. The wall opens and she grows golden wings. Syaoran clone saves her before the wings can consume her. The wings break into feathers and fly off into the sky; Sakura clone is unconscious. The wizard of that country, Yukito, warps the clones to Yuko, as black ninjas appear outside the ruins. There Yuko tells him those feather were Sakura clone's memories. They went to different dimensions.
They meet Kurogane, a ninja who was sent here to learn not to be too violent. He had an interesting life story, but I wont get into that her. They also meet Fye, a wizard from another dimension. He also had an extremely sad life, but way too long to explain. They all want to travel through dimensions for their own reasons. Kurogane has to pay with his sword, the silver dragon, Ginryu. Fye loses his tattoo on his back. The tattoo suppresses his magic and keeps him in control. Syaoran's payment is Sakura's memory of him. Even if all the feathers are recovered, Sakura will never remember Syaoran. They find a lot of feathers together. Sakura starts to somehow remember that she is a clone. The original Syaoran appears and takes his eye back from the clone. Fye tries to keep the eye on the clone, but he fails. The clone turns into the killing machine he was designed to be. He takes Fye's eye (it contains half of his magic). Tsubasa (original) thinks this Sakura is the princess Tsubasa. So they go to other worlds and finally reach the Clow Country where Fei Wang Reed is. He makes sure that there, outside the ruin, the same day keeps repeating, and they never move on to the next day. However, when they reach the inside, they find out that time is completely stopped. Here, they get the real Princess Tsubasa. Sakura clone disappears. Soon, they fight Reed. Fye and Kurogane fight his minion ninja while Syaoran and Sakura (she has magic) fight Reed. Not long after they start fighting, the clones appear. It is finally understood that the clones are actually real Syaoran's parents. They all use their power to attack Reed, but before they can reach him, he seals them in an inescapable world called the Dream World. There, the two Syaoran are on one side, and the two Sakura are on the other. There is an unbreakable glass in between. Somehow, the two Syaoran are also sent to the void of darkness. Along with those two, there is also the other child that Yuko protected. The clone Syaoran has to die for the other two to escape, so he accepts death. Meanwhile, the two Sakura find out the Reed put within them the power to travel dimensions at the cost of a life (that's what the wings were). The two Sakura use this to destroy the Dream World and Sakura clone dies. It is then revealed that these events are a never ending loop of events called "the dream". Normally, Yuko would have saved the clones and sent them somewhere, so they could get married and give birth to Syaoran after this (yes, again). But this time, she doesn't. This time, Yuko grants her own wish. The cost for ending the dream is her own life, which she gives. Without Clow and Yuko, only Reed remains, and he grows very angry. Being the only dimensional magician causes him to disintegrate. He is dead. The original Tsubasa and Princess Tsubasa along with Kurogane and Fye are sent to the real world of Clow now. There, Syaoran and Sakura reveals that when her clone lost her memories, she did too. She does not remember Syaoran. That moment, Yuko uses her magic (even though she is dead) to make a feather appear from Syaoran's chest. This returns to her all her memories, and her clone's memories. The price for this, is that Syaoran will have to travel through dimensions for all of eternity. He may never see Sakura again. This is when she finally tells him that her name is actually Tsubasa.
Syaoran eventually arrives in the Naruto Universe at age 15. Fye and Kurogane came with him.
