I think we all have to accept that the things that we knew weren't completely true. Why? Because they have been told by Itachi and Obito who didn't know them.
I said it in other threads before, edo tensei isn't just there for fun or the hell of it. It's there so the truth gets revealed. The things that Obito told were probably just what was spreaded around in the village and what landed in history books. We are learning the truth from the people who saw it, so it's silly to try and connect things before not everything has been told.
The last chapter showed many things that no one expected:
-Madara and Izuna didn't have MS, it looks like he went from three tomoe to EMS directly which is weird or was simply left out for now
-the friendship and peace dream ended because he saw a threat for Izuna, who was all for him
-Izuna was the bigger fanatic of the two of them
-Madara didn't kill Izuna for power, the thought of him having been a powerhungry ******* that killed his best friend and brother back then, has to be given up, as hard as it is after seeing him as an edo
-Izuna would have died anyway, he gave the eyes up while dying
-Madara still secretly wanted peace. He even wanted to accept Hashirama's offer and take his hand but then, Izuna, who was clearly dying, stopped it. And as Hashi said, after that, he changed completely. EMS is indeed the curse of hatred.
What I believe is that the truce will come in place after whatever Hashirama will do now. I doubt Hashirama or Tobirama will die. What I believe is that whatever they do won't satisfy Madara so he might sign for now but later wants revenge. That's why he left.
I really wonder if edo tensei will be involved. Doubt it though. Tobirama seems to not feel sorry at all. I rather believe he will start spreading around things so Madara fully loses his position in the clan, that's why they will leave him behind. That plus the fact that they are losing. If it is edo tensei and a zombie Izuna, it would be a fun twist but doubtful. The old et wasn't that good. It was merely animated corpses.
I also found it interesting that Izuna said 'don't trust them'. For now, everything that has happened is alot more understandable than the old, rather one sided version. Can't wait to see more.
Oh and I really wonder what Sasuke will make out of that all. Doubt he won't understand Madara after such a truth. And when they all see Obito? I really cannot believe that in the end, they won't somehow forgive each other.
