Hello everyone. Espadara here, with a legit theory that will destroy your view of the Narutoverse.
Now, like every other Naruto fan, I was disappointed with his supposed training during the timeskip. "Hurr durr I can make bigger Rasengan" was practically the only thing he was taught. Despite being trained by Jiraiya for two years, he didn't show an increased control of Kyuubi chakra, knowledge of any other jutsu, and he still acted like an idiot.
But what if that wasn't the real Naruto?
Just think about it. Shadow Clone jutsu is Naruto's signature technique. He made thousands of them in Part I, and who knows how many during the timeskip? And do you really think Jiraiya would be completely fine with letting a Naruto who barely learned anything of value return to Konoha, especially when the Akatsuki are about to make their move? Hell no, Jiraiya is far smarter than that.
We've already seen that Shadow clones can take hits, judging from Datclone (The clone who fought third Raikage and Edo Madara.) Not only that, but we've seen that clones can use jutsu, too. (Wood Clone Susanoo, Hiruzen's epic five-way against Guruguru, Sage Art:Massive Rasengan Barrage, etc) And we've seen that there are other islands and possibly continents (At Sea Arc, Temujins homeland, etc)
So the theory is this; Naruto created the ultimate Datclone to take his place. One that held the original Naruto's memories, but without the knowledge he was a clone. Jiraiya also created a Datclone to take his place, without the knowledge he was a clone. The real J and N sent the Datclones to travel around the Elemental Nations, with a particular order; act as you always have. This way, Akatsuki won't suspect a thing, and Naruto-Datclone will focus on Sasuke and Rasengan.
However, the real Naruto and Jiraiya went to another nation entirely, focusing on training even longer than the two year timeskip. Mastering every jutsu known to man, Sage Mode (Which explains how the Datclone Naruto got it so quickly) Pervert techniques; truly becoming better than even Minato.
Going off on another thread on this site, Itachi discovered Jiraiya and Naruto's real location, and confronted them. Luckily, they decided to bury the hatchet; Itachi created a clone with a part of soul to go finish his Sasuke business, while Itachi, Jiraiya, and Naruto all wait for the perfect moment to interfere in the Moon Eye Plan.
When Jiraiya-Datclone died against Pain, and Naruto-Datclone defeated Pain, Naruto and J-man realized that Konoha was in good hands, and set up a Brothel. Itachi convinces men to enter via Sharingan, and Jiraiya and Naruto get the men roaring drunk as they plow random civilian women, Maximizing profits.
Just wait, for in the battle with Kaguya, Naruto-Datclone will suddenly disappear in a puff of smoke. As everyone wonders where he has gone, the real Naruto and Jiraiya will appear with an epic double Rasengan straight to Kaguya's boobs, while Itachi comes in with Phoenix Sage Mode and seals away Black Zetsu. Naruto marries Kaguya, Itachi repopulates the Uchiha clan by himself, and Jiraiya sets up hundreds of brothels throughout the Elemental Nations after beating the shit out of Orochimaru and banging Tsunade. When Tsunade wants to marry Jiraiya, however, Jiraiya rejects her for a twenty three year old hotty.
I know what game you're playing at Kishi, and I have foretold it.
