He want's the fruit to bloom so he can eat it and cast the infinite tsukyomi. The eye only blooms when you eat the fruit. Now about the Rinnegan, the Rinnegan is something special that Hagaromo had. That's why when you take Half of Indra + Ashura Chakra you end up with a Rinnegan. Now the Byakugan was said to be the ancestor of the Sharigan. So we can't speculate that she was born with the Byakugan. She might have acquire it as soon as she ate the fruit. You also forgetting that there was no such thing of ninjutsu of this era. So there fore the Byakugan existing beyond the shinobi time is invalid. Ninshuu came before Ninjutsu and that was teaching of Spiritual and Chakra. Ninjutsu was made for war and that is the start of the Curse. I am pretty sure Kaguya died as soon as Hagoromo got into is senior or early mature age.

That's stupid, we can clearly see that it is the Juubis eye here, kinda a sort of Rinnegan and Sharingan.

Although I don't believe the brother had rennigan
I'm pretty much convinced hagoromo and the 2nd sage had Byakugan as well. Here's how I believe it all went down:

Kaguya, as a moon goddess, possessed the Byakugan before she ate the fruit. In fact, this may be why the Byakugan resembles the moon to begin with.

When she ate the fruit, she gained her third eye, the sharingan.

She gave birth to twins, both who possessed the same eyes as her, the Byakugan.

Kaguya developed the jyuuken fighting style and taught it to the two sons.

The two sages used this fighting style, as well as sealing jutsys they'd developed, to fight the juubi.

Once the juubi was sealed inside hagoromo, his Byakugan mutated due to the juubi into the rennigan. this is why the rennigan looks like a mix of Byakugan + Sharingan. Hagoromo then passed this new eye onto the Uchiha and his new body onto the senju.

But since the 2nd sage didn't become a juubi host, his Byakugan and body remained untainted and the same as his mother's, Byakugan was passed onto the hyuga while his body was passes onto the uzumaki.

Kaguya's grandson (SO6P son) was the one to inherit sharingan. The other SO6P son inherited the body. The "body" became senju and uzumaki while the eyes became uchiha. I always thought it became uchiha and hyuga but with kagaving the byakugan and having another son, that theory is not strong because it begs the question of what the other son inherited.

I like the diagram because it's something new. I don't think that the rinnegan comes from combining cells between descendents of the Sage, it's not that simple. You can't get rinnegan by combining just any pair of senju and uchiha.

The rinnegan comes from combining cells between reincarnations; people who are inhabited by the chakra of the Sage's sons. That's what Madara did, and that's why he mutated when he was dying, because death is when the process occurs where the son's chakra leaves to body to migrate to someone else. Because Madara combined them, it screwed up the migration and he mutated.
